I finally got to visited Cambodia for the first time this pass summer while on my way out of Germany. My family escaped the war in Cambodia in the early 80's. My family came to America about a month after I was born in a refugee camp in border of Thailand. I've been to quite a lot of ruins all over Europe while stationed in Germany. Since Destination Truth, Josh Gates has been one of my big inspiration for going out into the world to explore and visit ruins. When I visited Cambodia I went to soo many ancient ruins, from the ruins in Battambong to Preah Vihear, and all over Angkor Wat. And I must say, for some reason, I felt a great connection to Koh Ker. It's like something was pulling me towards it. I enjoyed every moment up on top of that pyramid. It is so awesome to see Josh at Koh Ker.

the all caps subtitles and corny background music are not necessary... your audience is not stupid and can sense the importance of these moments

oh god stop w the sensational music and the over the top reactions, and the crazy snazzy graphics. This was how National Geographic got dumbed down for the masses. Can we just stick to the facts and present these wonderful historical finds in a restrained, dignified way! For the love of God, please!

Before foreigners came into this land Cambodia is a province of Siam. Since ancient times, Cambodia has been a province in Siam. Until foreigners came and squeezed out Cambodia. and Siam ceded this province to France Finally, France took this province. To establish a new country.

did siam make all these old temples and statues?
@ccicu-u4p9 ай бұрын
@@peterouuu Of course. Great civilizations and buildings come from leaders. The Siamese kings represented various gods. Built to offer as an offering to Buddha. In each era Each era has changed. It is a combination of Brahmanism and Hinduism. and Buddhism together “In ancient times, people lived only for food and drink each day,” and the writing of inscriptions must have come from studying and learning to read and write, which the ruling class had to learn these things (unlike today).

@@peterouuu If you want to know what nationality the king was from? Look at the name of the king, for example, because if the king's name is George Walker Bush, this is definitely not the name of the King of Siam. Or if you use the name Trasak Peam, this is a Khmer person, not the name of a Siamese person. Or the name called Anwar bin Ibrahim, this is not a name used by Siamese people.

@@ccicu-u4p In your dreams. 😂🤣🤣🤣 this was all built before Ayuthaya times. Siam was still in southern china
@ccicu-u4p9 ай бұрын
@@peterouuu The dream you said has no evidence, but if your father's DNA is George's DNA and your mother's DNA is Daisy, then you are definitely not Khmers.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
