You're mixing up DeAndre Moore with Matthew Golden. Moore was in last year's recruiting class and Golden transferred in from Houston.

Mathew Golden is the Houston transfer. Deandre Moore was a freshman at Texas last year.

He might have confused him with Edge Trey Moore who is a transfer and has made a very positive impression.

IMO the defensive line cost UGA a 3-peat. Gotta get those guys to be elite. If that happens, yeh UGA is gonna be extremely hard to stop from winning it all again.

Texas and Georgia, barring a catastrophic string of injuries once the season starts, WILL be in the 12-team playoff this coming year. Penn State probably will be in it, but I'm not quite as certain about them as I am with Texas and Georgia. And of course, once you make the playoff, it's a crapshoot as to what happens next: there are a bunch of teams with all about a 9-10% chance of winning it, it'll be a series of coin-flip games. (For example, after #7 LSU beats #10 Ohio State in the first round, #2 Oregon has to beat LSU, then play #3 Georgia in the semifinal, with the winner playing #4 Alabama, who took out #8 Penn State in the other semi.) I'm not even sure whether Virginia Tech will be in a conference this year. The ACC appears to be on the point of disintegrating entirely. I know that the football coach has to be worried about his own little piece of the puzzle and can't be thinking about things like that. (As Lou Holtz said when he was coach at ND: "I have nothing to do with WHO we play, WHERE we play, or WHEN we play. I am only responsible for HOW we play.") That being said, VT should find a decent landing spot if the ACC does break up: they and UVA will be a package deal somewhere, probably in the Big 12.

Coach Pry definitely has VT back on the right trajectory and this roster is totally flipped from when he got there. They have the athletes to compete now.

How many more years will you go without interviewing Mike Norvell? If he was the HC of an SEC school, would you have interviewed him then? Hell, I bet if Norvell had taken the Bama job for which he was a serious candidate, you still would have snubbed him!

Quinn Ewers is good! Not as good as Carson Beck! Gunner Stockton as backup to Carson is an order of magnitude better than Arch Manning who backs up Quinn Ewers. Arch is one of the most overrated prospects to ever be mentioned by talent rating agencies like 247 , ON3 and any others you want to mention. It was this laughable #1 rating coming out of high school without a shred of evidence in the way of passing statistics that first alerted me to the pure politics of high school football ranking entities. I'm sure he's a great kid but just having the last name of Manning and being 6'3" is not grounds for a 5-star rating. There is a reason why he has almost no experience at the college level at this point and very little of it is because of Quinn Ewers!!!

U came to Blacksburg but not College Park? CMon man. Maryland football has been more relevant the past 5yrs than VT has (among others) Give Locksley & the Terps a little love. This isn't the Randy Edsall Terps.
