Damn this was a good conversation. I was a chubby teen and peaked at about 250lbs but I developed anorexia after getting picked on and dropped to 134lbs at me lowest (I'm 6'2). I'm now 35, keep between 160 and 170 but the eating disorder never goes away. Constant struggle. It is manageable, though. Kind of came to the conclusion that I'll never like how I look to myself regardless of how I actually look to others. Sometimes if I see a pic or catch a peek at a CCTV at a store I see that, damn, I am pretty slim. Might wanna put on a few lbs. Then I look in the mirror and think I'm overweight. Lovely times. Thanks for bringing light to these kinds of issues. Especially relating to men. Guys don't talk about this stuff enough.

@@Ashley-db7eu So my brother had passed away from a heart attack not long before and we had just gone into the first lockdown. So I reached a point where I decided I had to do something about my condition. At first, I went on a diet plan which was 1200 calories a day just to get an idea of what the amount of food I should be eating was (I realise that calorie reduction for my size then was extreme) and with that the only exercise I did for the first 6-12 months was walking. I started by aiming for 6000 steps a day and gradually increased it when that became easy. After about 12 months I had lost so much weight id gone from a 5xl shirt down to just L. Now I am a bit of a gym rat and am even applying for a job in the armed services. Honestly, if anyone is struggling please do reach out and contact me as I would love to help. This isn't the whole story, I've glossed over identifying emotional hunger from actual hunger, plus transitioning from weight loss to maintenance but yeah.
