In case anyone wonder, even if one of Josh's parent is half-chinese, the genetic material that went to Josh is randomized during meiosis that produce the gamete with chromosomal crossover mixing things up further so, while it should be 25% on average, it can vary a lot from that. If Jordan also submit his DNA, it might come up with different percentage due to randomness of genes.

Hi Josh! From my understanding: each grandparent has about a 25% effect on our DNA, but contrary to popular belief this is just an estimate based on maths. So that means the range for each grandparent is actually around 18-27%. So that could be why you are more European than you expected (you probably expected 75%), because the percentage of your DNA from your Chinese grandma is less then 25% but is still in the range (~20%). It doesn't necessarily mean your grandma wasn't 100% Asian, the full 25% just doesn't show in the percentages for you? Idk if i explained this in a way that makes sense, but hopefully this helps! Super taster means his tongue is very sensitive to flavors, and with strong tasting food, it might actually hurt. It totally explains why Ollie likes bland food, and also probably since he's a super taster, he is able to taste the finer nuances of some so-called 'bland' food and is able to enjoy it more.
@SerenityReceiver3 жыл бұрын
The video showed them both to be "super tasters"...
@TheLeolee893 жыл бұрын
Not sensitive to flavour. He is sensitive to taste. Like the description which Ollie had read out, it mean bitter taste more bitter, sweet taste more sweet and etc. Super taster are the most likely to hate green leaf vegetables when they're young cause vegetables already taste very bad for young taste bud. Imagine how does it taste like for young super taster. The one who is sensitive to flavour are usually the super smeller. Flavour is a combination of several sensations. The main sensation that contribute to flavour is taste and odor.
@numbgirlcrybby3 жыл бұрын
Wait is that why the sides of my tongue tingles when I eat something (specifically after I haven’t had anything to eat for a while)??? I thought it was normal for a majority of my life and I have noticed the older I get the more I enjoy mild flavors 🤯🤯🤯🤯
@jburditt60283 жыл бұрын
@@numbgirlcrybby the tingling could be related to mild allergies. There is a thing called oral allergy syndrome. I have it, and since I am allergic to some trees and grasses, the syndrome also makes my mouth tingle when I eat certain foods (fruits, veg, etc.). It's something about the protein structure in the food is too similar to the allergen and your body attacks it the same way. However, when you cook those foods, the protein structure breaks down and there is no more tingling since it is no longer similar to the allergen.

I have to say I LOVE that Ollie has 6 stars for creativity! The test got that 100% correct. Also men can indeed lactate soooo…

From saoroy: "lol." If a man is hormonally imbalanced, sure. Though, I would not recommend trying to milk a dude. :P

I've always thought that Ollie had a really incredible sense of taste. It amazes me how he picks up the subtlest flavors in things he eats. So, that test just confirms it!🙂

The creativity stuff is on point!! I loves when ollie takes over the video , so much content.

Josh's sleep mouth thing, I relate. you are not alone Josh
@xsariax3 жыл бұрын
I don't like to open my mouth in the morning either, but it's less of a "break the seal" thing and more of an energy thing. It takes energy to talk, and if I decide I'm talking, that means I'm making the energy to get up and do things.

Love the "In touch with the comman man" t-shirt but it looks like youve managed to get one in your size and you havent had to order the customisable xxl. Must be nice. Must be very nice.

Ollie wearing the Hamish and Andy shirt!! I reckon they would get along so well. Hamish and Ollie have the same sense of humour.

So much of this seems to be like the genetics traits version of astrological signs. "Likely calm", "average strength"... depending on how you write it, it can fit just about anyone.
@zendee22423 жыл бұрын
Ollie shouting "I'M LIKELY CALM!" cracked me up LOL

No. Why are you "shocked" by this?

I am! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Josh ever mentioned it before and hence my surprise. Didn't know that before.
@vlee70253 жыл бұрын
Nope haha. Coz i watched one of his reality show with gabie from a korean channel, he mentioned that he is a quarter chinese
@LindaC6163 жыл бұрын
@@heyitsme_al he did a tasting with his mom and dad before. They talked about it then.
@l.daniels1683 жыл бұрын
He's talked about it. When he was at that restaurant with that famous Korean comedian (his restaurant) and the two girl fans came over to get autographs, he spoke to them in Mandarin (I think) and told that guy that he was part Chinese on his dad's side.
