a lot of people don't know this but the person actually saying 'are you there' isn't josh wink, but actually dj rob sherwood from cleveland, ohio, who called josh wink and left the message on his answering machine!...dj rob sherwood and dj mike filly were the resident dj's at smart bar (later the whiskey) in cleveland, ohio...i used to help promote for and get people on the guest list for it when i was a dj on WRUW 91.1FM cleveland (CWRU case western reserve university).

I played "are you there" over and over and over and over just for myself and my friends if they were around. Other album(s) would sometimes be in the mix. That damn phrase still gets in my head "are you there?"I still write Acid. Your song was very influential to me. I made my Yamaha DX27 Have a custom boot screen that said, "Are you there?"
