A patron mentioned that in fact this dance is probably a "Furiant" ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furiant ) and that the first 2 bars should likely be 3 bars of 2/4, in which case the LH rhythm for those two bars is the odd one out. Still hard to play it (as written), regardless of emphasis, since either the right or left hand will feel a bit weird! Folk dances can often have some great shifting meters, lots of fun!

Very much appreciate this lesson on a lower level.

I love how you call out the 5 dominant. 1 tonic that helps no matter what key people play in. It’s the little things that matter too. So many learning the harp have not learnt this.

Thanks Connie, can definitely be helpful to be aware of that!

This was excellent! I love Betty's book, as a student and a teacher. Thanks for the insights.

Thank you so much for doing harp Tuesday! I lost my harp 48 years ago and thought I would never play again. I was lifted a lever harp a couple months ago and your videos are helping me regain and improve my long lost skills. Again thank you for taking the time for doing these videos.

Thank you for this video. I was going to skip over this one but now I won’t be :)

Thank you for this video! Is your harp tuned in F? All the levers are down yet the B is flat. I'm new to the harp and this piece would be too difficult for me right now, at least at speed. So I'll focus on details like the levers :)

I learnt this long, long ago in school as The Zither Carol. It's from a Czech folk tune: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bp_EoHyChMZ4fs0si=_dALO19PLN8JKJ_6 I loved singing the "zing zings!"
