As of this moment 5/19/2024 WGU only takes the google IT pro cert from coursera the admin staff notified me that this is a common misconception that being said if you can do the cyber cert you can knock out the IT pro in a couple hours

How does this compare to your Cybersecurity course and internship? Would it not better to have experience and a possible reference and use the money you’d pay and just take all of the certs?

If I were to pick one or the other, in terms of immediate ROI and actionable knowledge/experienced gained, for sure the course is going to win by a long shot. However in an effort to become and stay highly employable, it's good to cover all your bases and having a degree is just one of the bases. Basically just watching a video series (Professor Messer is free), and doing a full set of practice questions (joshmadakor.tech/exams) is enough to consider "prestudy" for me. Hey Josh I got a question so there's this cybersecurity apprenticeship program it's 1 year & it comes with CompTIA A+, CompTiA Network+ & CompTiA Security+ Free program. Then after $25 dollars a hour after I graduate. Wondering would you suggest I do this program or do my degree because it may be faster or just do both I have no experience at all also the program says "No experience required".

The program sounds too good to be true, haha! If it's real, go with the program since you get Free certs out of it and a $25/hr job for free, haha. After doing the program and start working, I would just work on a degree at your own pace to build your employability foundation.
