As a Brazilian, every time i see the last 1-2 finish for Brazil with Piquet and Moreno in Suzuka i cannot contain the tears. This episode with Andrea Moda only shows that Roberto Moreno indeed deserved a second chance, and had a lot to show (specially if you compare it to other drivers at the time) Just a trivia: after moreno's engine blew up at the Monaco Grand Prix, on his way to the box, every person on the pit stops, from every team, clapped and congratulated him for the effort (i am not joking)

Perry Mccarthy in his book "Flat Out Flat Broke," that he had an interesting time testing for Benetton at Silverstone in 1992. At the end of one particular run, Pat Symonds, who at the time was Michael Schumacher's Race Engineer, came up to Mccarthy with an expression that read something like" is this man insane or something?" the conversation that followed went as follows: "Have a bit of a moment out there?" "What do you mean?" "Well, the telemetry shows that you went through Bridge Corner on full throttle and full opposite lock!" "Oh yeah, Michael [Schumacher] told me that he can take it flat out," "Yes he does, when he has new qualifying tyres and a few kilos of fuel. You on the other hand had worn race tyres and half a tank of petrol!" What this all meant was that he didn't have anything like the same amount of grip available, he took Michael Schumacher's advice a bit too literally. I just laugh hysterically each time I read it

You skipped the German Grand Prix, which is respectable because nothing of much note related to the team happened there. I will tell you something that happened to McCarthy though, he wrote in his Auto-Biography Flat Out Flat Broke: Formula One The Hard Way (which is available on Amazon for $86) "The next race was at Hockenheim. Six cars were involved in pre qualifying on the Friday morning and Julian Bailey, Mark Blundell and JJ Lehto were out on the circuit at a corner watching as the session began. McCarthy, who certainly did not know Hockenheim in a Formula One car, approached. McCarthy had asked his Formula One compadres where to break for the Nord Kurve. Bailey ruminated, because he was thinking about where the good cars braked. "Just after the 100 metre board." McCarthy said "Right." He continued his recce. Bailey said to Blundell, "I bet he won't do this." They stood at the Nord Kurve and after a while they heard the distinct high pitch wail of a Formula One engine on it's way towards them. It burst into view -- what Bailey described as 'that black Andrea Moda' thing going waaaaaang. Bailey shouted, " No, don't do it!" He was deeply sure that McCarthy wouldn't make the turn. Lehto put a finger to his forehead, the international sign for madness. McCarthy was absouloutly determined to break after the 100 metre board. 'How he made it that day I don't know,' Blundell says. We were actually said scared when we told him that.. I honestly thought he was going to kill himself there.' And he went through all that just to miss the weigh bridge after the seesion and got ex cluded from the session.

I actually saw Pel in Andrea Moda at Silverstone. We cheered! Better than that, I saw Giacomelli in the Life at Spa. Twice! 2 laps. The second time was being towed behind a truck. It still counts.

I’m Italian and I didn’t know the story of this team until this video, yet, as soon as I discovered “Andrea Moda” is a shoe brand I never even heard of, all my mind was able to think was “mafia mafia mafia mafia”

Can you do a video about Kmag? Always thought he deserved another drive at a top team, but the way things are going, it looks like he'll be leaving F1 after this season.
