Well, actually, Jay Lane wrote this part, played it extremely well! While I love both Jay and Tim, I think my favorite drummer that's been with Primus is definitely Bryan Kei Manta! His grooves live and on both the Brown Album amd Antipop are some of my favorite!

Awesome interpretation, and even Tim Alexander said he didn't generally play it the same way every time. Honestly my favorite part about Primus (at least on the first 4 records) was the drum sound, it’s just awesome and for some reason satisfying, Herb is one of those drummers with lots of groove, and I love that, hell David Silveria is one of my favs and I love his grooves, you nailed the whole song and I just love seeing this stuff, maybe after learning guitar I’ll try drums

Tims drums are relatively spontaneous. He leaves himself room for improv. Knowing he does that gives me the chance to do the same and not feel too bad about it. You can play this song if you memorize the structure and apply your own improv. There are key moments that even he changes live sometimes.
