Just to leave my 2 cents on Wizards as a Sponsor, as a company they have been so horrid to the community over the years (Pinkertons, OGL, and AI art controversys) so I'll personally stop watching shorts/streams of they become a reoccuring sponsor

Josh is well aware, and that's why he's being a massive dick to them by shilling in the most obnoxious way possible; even claiming the chat can "Stop lying" after he's gotten the clip. I don't think they'll ever sponsor again.

Why the Commander hate? The format has single-handedly given MTG a much needed player boost over the last few years. People don't like having to buy and play new cards every 3 months and players get more attached to their Commander decks as they evolve over time. Also getting to politic yourself into a win or out of last place is always fun and adds an extra element to the game like bluffing in poker.

Forty cards sealed and sixty card kitchen magic was and is a lot better than commander for kids and beginners, but when all you can buy to start out is commander, the kids end up trying to shuffle 100 cards and never really get anywhere. Besides, the politics of multiplayer games can sabotage the other skill-based parts of the game that were traditionally what people liked. I personally find commander fun to play as a twist on the original formats, but it isn't really that comparable.

As a person who’s friends are obsessed with mtg, but I myself hate card games and their way of making it seem like you’re being creative but really you’re just throwing a bunch of net-decked numbers at each other, fuck mtg… 😊
