There are two explanations. I'll also argue that the objective of Jesus proving himself to Thomas was not based on tolerance and patience but on communicating a lesson about believing because Jesus then goes on and says, "Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." Yes tolerance and patience are important as they are the components required for this lesson to be well-communicated. Let us read the book in its entirety. We do not have a problem with being questioned. The scripture doesn't have to be defended, the weakness is not in the scripture but the weakness is on us who present it. If I dont know the answer, its okay to say I don't know yet. Not knowing the answer to a question doesn't mean the answer doesn't exist.

Asking questions is great for meditation, but unlike him, Jesus said keep on finding. So when you have questions, keep looking for answers from the Bible. Don't ever think coming up with difficult questions is a sign of wisdom but the humility to look for answers is wisdom. There are proper and satisfying to his questions. That's the problem with trying to be too smart. Just because no one was with Jesus at the mountain when he went to go pray, doesn't mean that it's not possible for anyone to have found out what his words were. There are many possibilities, not excluding Jesus telling his disciples, Himself, what his prayers were to the Father. Or like Paul, who, although stayed with the other apostles for some time, received his own revelation from God as to what to let us know. Someone of Mr. Mamponga's calibre should be able to know this. Which is why I truly believe that Mr. Mamponga is on a mission to intentionally confuse the children of God, of which he will not go scotch free. This thought is sustained by how John epilogues his Gospel writing when he asserts ““And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. The beginning of chapter 28 says, “When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered.” John‬ ‭18‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ He was praying, yet John says, He was speaking…. There’s audibility resulting in orality. Point. That we are not told how these writings occurred doesn’t reduce or diminish what we’re convicted of. You must remember that the Bible has one common author i.e. the Holy Spirit of God. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness He was alone - yet we find the story recorded - because the Holy Spirit knows everything - 1 CORINTHIANS 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit. For the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. However as far as the Garden of Gethsemane is concerned there were many witnesses: 1 At the Passover four cups were sipped off. However after 3 cups were sipped of they sang a Hymn (from the Psalms) and it was terminated prematurely with Jesus leaving with His apostles to the Garden of Gethsemane. 2. At the Garden the 11 apostles were with Jesus. Judas had left to betray Jesus and would return with the High Priests and their servants. Jesus took the three apostles that belonged to His inner circle and went a stones throw away and prayed. The normal position of praying was ‘standing’. However Jesus ‘knelt’ in full surrender to the Father. Since these apostles were in a close proximity to Jesus they could hear Him - although at one point they fell asleep. 3. The Garden of Gethsemane is an Olive Press. Olives are presses in three stages - first a light weight (to get extra virgin Olive oil) next with a medium weight to get virgin oil and finally a very heavy weight where the seeds and skin are also crushed and we get a reddish liquid. Jesus was under such immense pressure that He sweated what looked like blood. This medical condition is called Hematohidrosis - an Angel was sent by God to strengthen Him.

There's a source that says the book of Matthew was written 30-40 after Christ's crucifixion. Makes me wonder how the stories in the synoptic gospels were so articulate and accurate if they were written from memory? Then again maybe they had multiple manuscripts that they kept and simply compiled them when the time was right.

The problem with Maponya is that he does not believe in the holy spirit. When Paul was conducting passover in1 Corinthians 11. And surely he was not there.
