No hate to Farfa - he's a very entertaining streamer. I tune into his stream on Twitch from time to time. I do think that your commentary before he came onto the stream was much better for a serious event like this though. Gives us better insight into the lines of play instead of getting side tracked by chatter. Again, no disrespect to Farfa.
@Tortorrta7 ай бұрын
It's a fair way to put it. Farfa isn't a serious or competitive steamer and he can't really comment as such.
@killuafan43657 ай бұрын
Commentary works like this. It's always a person that has personality or does the talking for casuals plus the pro. There is a difference between a commentator and an annotator, the combo works if they are working in pairs. If you put 2 Uber intelligent people in a panel then it would be boring, a person that appeals to casuals matter a lot. Farfa plus MBT will turn off pros, Joshua and Jessie on the other hand will turn the casuals away. This is a healthy balance not only for both sides but humor as well. Contrast is very good for podcasts, commentary and interviews.

Although there were def some misplays, you can’t be too harsh to the players especially right after a new format. There’s def going to be new interactions you’re not going to be familiar with.

okay so the explanation at the very start now makes sense why Josh himself wasnt there, so instead of it being a match based on the best of the best players, its inviting past past NA&SA champs - okay still was fun, but explains why no EU player was there at all.

To be honest even if ocg was released alongside tcg, players in the tcg innovate in less percentage than the ocg. In every format you can track a couple ocg meta spice but here we would only copy a spice of a 1st place winner. Still due to the fact that the tcg players are spread among many more different culture countries, the few that do innovate in the tcg cover somewhat that sortage by figuring out amazing tech ideas.

If there are so many continuous spells through Snake-Eyes right now, is there any possibility to use Hamon successfully?
@joshmountain97057 ай бұрын
Depends on your definition of "successfully". Resolve the card? Yes. Brick like mad? Yes.
@wiewahr45167 ай бұрын
@@joshmountain9705 I am looking for counters to Snake-Eyes and I think that converting your cards into continuous spells is a problem, so the first thing that came into my mind to "free" your cards was Hamon, but that does not mean, that I think Hamon is the great counter, but maybe there is a card or engine that can deal with this issue, and I am trying to start a little brain storming here. :P
@wiewahr45167 ай бұрын
It looks like my commentary did not come through. What I said was basically that I am not bound to Hamon, but I am looking for cards that can "free" these spells like e. g. Hamon does and I want to start a little Brainstorming about it. :-)

Jesse is the epitome of not showering before going to locals
@wiewahr45167 ай бұрын
I think the real problem is, that this is an elite tournament and Konami could easily give them boundary conditions to at least be well groomed. It is less the shower, but how dishevelled some appearances are. But I guess that does not work if the staff has the same problem. I don't know what is wrong in at least shaving the beard that it looks clean. Some are really positive examples there, but some are just negative ones. These people are the face of the community, Konami should care even more, in my opinion. This is not against anyone specifically, but overall that is what came to my eye. That would open the game to more people.
