There is so much tacos left to eat, for those who knows you only visit a small zone in the city, most of them nice and tourist neighborhoods, but Gabriela nailed in the agenda. Most of the tacos are influenced by other cities in Mexico, like cochinita who is mainly from Merida. As a German, who had never eaten a taco, I would never have thought it possible that there were so many different ones. Now i want to eat all them too! Maybe when I finally have enough money for a flight to Mexico the time will come... hopefully during Día de Muertos

I truly do hope you get to experience that at some point. I'm in the US, and even here, lucky tacos have become a staple in food culture out here. There are many types and flavors to experience. Everyone should get a chance to experience the satisfaction of eating some delicious tacos especially after a few drinks with friends

Don't forget the other foods too, tamales are awesome anywhere you go, Oaxaca has great eats, mole can't be beaten, and the awesome seafood. Best octopus I've ever eaten was in Mazatlán. Best fried lobster I've eaten was in Puerto Nuevo. And awesome hot chocolate. ❤

Finally someone that really step up and makes a real guide to Mexico City taco scene. For sure there are many other tacos that might deserve a chance outside the common and touristic neighborhoods (Condesa, Roma, Centro, Escandon, etc), but thinking in most of your audience, this is a really really really excellent video.

Thank you for showing the beautiful diverse food of our country. A lot of people hate on us Mexicans but thank you for highlighting the good in our country and cuisine. I was born in Mexico City and throughout my culinary journey I have always found our cuisine to be just as good as French, Italian, British, cuisines. Thank you!

+1 for Cafe Tacobar. Super friendly staff, I was there a few weeks ago and drank mezcal with the chef. Love it there. Taco Selene is the best - will probably be any organized CDMX taco tour - it's also open super late (6am on a Friday and Saturday), but don't overlook their tortas either. Apparently their pastor is so awesome that they supply the meat to the restaurant across the road.

Mexican here! There is a debate on going of Mexico City claiming that quesadillas are without cheese VS the other 31 states arguing back that quesadillas MUST have cheese 😅 I once dig into this and both sides have good points. Anyway Joss, you should one day taste tacos in their own home states, like tacos de cochinita pibil in Yucatan, tacos de carnitas in Michoacan, etc. Man, we can make them on other places and still, there is something unique when you eat it at their origin that adds to their taste somehow. The one thing I love about our food is how customized you can make it to your taste, to make it your own. I could eat the same taco as my husband, but each of us will add or avoid certain things according to our taste. For example: I add cilantro and onion, he doesn't I add a lot of lemon and a bit of salsa, he adds little lemon and lot of salsa And so on with most dishes ❤ PS: I drooled seeing all those tacos, I'll definitely visit some of those places next time I visit family in Mexico City

The main problem is that if you want the whole taco experience you need to travel all across the country: Asada Tijuana, Birria Guadalajara, Carnitas Michoacán, Cochinita Yucatán, Gobernador Mazatlán, Barbacoa Hidalgo, Pastor and Suadero Mexico City, etc.
