I love what Rosario says about those montage shots capturing the girls around the 8 minute mark. Not many movies capture that feeling. It was really ahead of its time and had some great messages about the dark side of the entertainment industry.

I remember when that movie premiered in 2001, I had many female teenagers who signed up for guitar lessons and bass guitar lesssons because they were inspired by the movie. Because of my guitar students who saw this movie, I saw the movie and I liked it. I also liked the soundtrack for the movie. Now, I want to see this movie again. I own this movie on DVD.

I was in my late teens when this movie came out and I'm grateful I came across it back then. I shared a house with a few roommates and we didn't have cable so we all watched a lot of movies and this was one I watched quite often back then. I even downloaded the songs off Limewire to burn onto a CD. Good times!

I grew up reading Archie Comics, which branched off into other iconic brands, like Sabrina the Teenage Witch and, of course -- Josie and the Pussycats!!! I am in now my late 50s with two grown children, but I saw the Josie film in 2001 for the fun of it, and was instantly transported back to age 10, snapping bubblegum and fan-girling Josie while reading comic books on my bed. Brava! to you three beautiful and talented actresses who brought my childhood back to life! XOXO.
