Jotaro moved a drink I believe without anyone perceiving it. Even with speed, the fact no one heard it move at all would hint towards time stop subconsciously being used because even DIO said at first he could only stop time for an instant. So I’d imagine the same applied to Jotaro and he just didn’t yet know it. Which would explain why he was able to stop time for 5 seconds in the DIO fight once he realized he had the ability

Nope. In JoJo you have to be a Stand User in order to see the Stand unless it is bound to a physical object. In Eyes of Heaven and All Star Battle, young Joseph couldn't even see or feel Star Platinum's presence even though we knew he would be a Stand User later down the line. But Toji will definitely know that Jotaro has some outside force defending him. Assuming Star Platinum doesn't kill him before that happens.

Doesn’t mean star platinum doesn’t blitz, but Toji’s perception can almost definitely sense the effect of a stand’s presence and actions

One interesting thing that some people bring up is that (judging from Knockback etc.) Jotaro's Ora Ora barrages seem to consist of a bunch of weaker punches followed by one strong punch. However, in the fights with DIO and High Priestess, we see he is able to maintain a barrage of strong punches powerful enough to leave deep holes in DIO's (mostly) vampire body and shatter High Priestess' teeth that are stronger than diamonds. So I really do think he can keep both his strength and speed up during those barrages, which is terrifying as it basically turns him into a giant Faster-than-light blender.

if we lowballed jotaro, toji might stand a chance against part 4 jotaro. as an assassin who thoroughly plans, he would likely figure out that constantly using timestop and fighting for long in general will tire jotaro out. toji would likely use a similar strategy to what he used against gojo, sending numerous assassins one after another to exhaust jotaro and his timestops, and then jump in for the killing blow at an unexpected angle moments after Jotaro thinks the dust is settled. part 3 post-dio jotaro easily wipes the floor with toji though also, I think its important to take in author intent. Toji would probably be in only the mach 4-6 range, and jotaro I think would at most be massively hypersonic. Polnareff was only able to defeat man in the mirror because he knew for a certainty there his stand would pass by, so he timed a slash to go along its path. its not even like polnareff could directly see the stand moving, and reacted to it, but that he planned for its only option of movement to be along the tip of his blade. This would contradict the FTL claims, and I think this would be accurate. Araki likes to incorporate his understanding of actual physics into JJBA, and it should be obvious to him that you cant see light, or in this case, lasers until it already touches you. This would mean that the beams that The Sun shot at Polnareff were not of light, but of some form of matter. also, when talking about the soulsplit katana against Jotaro, I think it would be notable to mention the stand Anubis, since it has shown to be able to cut through him and star platinum, functionally being very similar to how the soulsplit katana would perform.

I do take some umbrage with the emphasis that gets put on the Black Flash being a geometric power multiplier of X^2.5 Thing is, even Gege straight up admits at the end of chapter 48 that that's completely meaningless if you don't know X, and specifically what unit X is being measured in. For example, let's say that a character has a non-Black Flash attack potency of 1 tonne of TNT equivalent exactly, which is building level. If we measure X in tonnes of TNT equivalent, the Black Flash does nothing because 1^2.5=1. But if we measure it in joules then suddenly you get a jump from 4.184 gigajoules to 1.132 yottajoules, which is large country level and over 300 trillion tonnes of TNT equivalent. Units are literally everything in this discussion, and we will never get them. And so the X^2.5 thing needs to never be brought up without some significant disclaimers.

I think that in the "Toji is going to assassinate Jotaro in secret" scenario, what likely would happen is: Toji would get near enough (mixed with a crowd probably) and try a killing blow, Star Platinum would protect Jotaro even if he didn't perceived Toji and it would cut through SP's arm because of soul splitting katana, and Jotaro would react by stopping time and killing Toji in the 2s time, before more dmg can be done.

There's no way Toji's toothpick would go through Star Platinum. He was able to stay on par with Silver Chariot + Anubis, which are much faster than whatever Toji can come up with.

I feel like Toji would still slam. All of these feats come from the stand itself which has limitted range. The stand acts more of a auto-barrier (refer to jotaro nearly committing reset character), and while the stand itself may move that fast, Jotaro as a person has to percieve Toji. Especially because I see stands doing a barrage not as the user actually using it themself, but them commanding their stand, and due to the stand being connected to the soul, taking stamina. The split soul katana could be used to directly attack through the stand on sheer accident, which would heavily injure Jotaro. As long as Toji dashes around and maintains distance like typical for strong opponents, all is good. Do keep in mind this isn't considering that Toji Fushiguro is a genuine full-time assassin for the most part, because not only is every attack made with the intent of it to be an instant finisher, but like gojo, he definitely did research.

The only way Toji lands a hit is if it’s a surprise attack and catches Jotaro off guard. But it’s so unlikely since Star Platinum is on another level with speed and the time stop make it’s even more overkill. Toji would probably win a punch out but would simply be put down before he could land a hit. I’ll say this. The Star/sun feat used in this video was pretty BS. Light and energy beams are highly stylized in manga. We also can’t tell the size of the sun stand and really grasp what it shot at the crusader. It could have just been simple beams of fire. Not full on beams from an actual star. Not even sure how you scale something so vauge. I really think it was just a stylized manga moment and powerscalers love blowing thins out of proportion.

@@scarecrow4611 NAOYA is Mach 3, not Maki or Toji. And the reason I scale Toji to Sukuna's speed is due to Maki who's able to keep pace with Sukuna and take multiple black flashes without getting cooked, and Maki scales directly to Toji.

Bro why you saying large town and hypersonic are the highballs? The title for highballs belongs to island (dagon domain expansion) and 2.5c (Sukuna dodging Amber Beast Kashimo). Also the Sukuna in the Shinjuku Showdown is by no means "full power", as he as taken a hit to his output through Yuji, and has still not recovered from the Gojo fight. Also I respect that you didn't do JoJo MFTL and Mountain level so that JJK can fight somewhat fairly. Overall the stats aren't close in terms of speed, so Jotaro would probably just toss Toji around.

I feel like if Toji plays the fight in a lame way, like camping Jotaro out and trying to outrange him he could probably win. Yeah, he can punch fast, but Jotaro doesn't run around/move as fast as Toji, and he even seems to have some stamina issues as you've pointed out. Though this is under the assumption that Toji's inherit abilities let him see stands, cause if not, Toji get's whooped.

Its also probably worth mentioning that Jotaro himself isn’t lightspeed, his stand is. Jotaro himself is probably much slower than his opponent. Jotaro is also not that aware and he’s a reckless himbo (a stardust crusader) so its very feasible that Toji could get off a sneak attack with the soulsplit katana. A ton of Jotaro’s opponents are massively slower than him in part 3 and 4 and they all pretty much wound him in some way.
