Time cannot be stopped when it is erased because no time exist in time erasure that's why the space disappears no time no space so jotaro have to stop time before diavolo erases it

I highly doubt time stop would affect Diavolo inside the "erased time" as he's immune to anything else that happens, if GER was able to cancel it, was because GER's ability was permanently active before and after the effect, while Jotaro's time stop lasts shorter the KC's ability...

If jotaro stops time before diavolos time erasure what diavolo would see are not jotaros action but the actions that have already come since time stop is instant for everyone else- like jotaro throwing the arrow in time stop diavolo would only see the arrow in the air as its already happened.
