Vento Aureo Alternate Ending - Jojo Fan Animation [BLENDER]

This animation was a project I’ve had in my head since Fall 2019, after seeing a short edit about an alternate ending of Vento Aureo involving DIO. I officially started working on it in May 2020 in order to learn Blender 2.8 +. This project was always on the back burner in my mind, as I worked on many other animations before I finished it.
I had always set the Inherited Soul event as a final deadline, but I didn’t think it would come so down to the wire like this.
So much about it has changed over its development and I think I am happy with the result. My only regret, in the end, is that I couldn’t perfectly replicate Jojo’s aesthetic.
I would like to thank my friend Austin, @AustinThe_Bear, because he was my hype man for this project, thanks bud.
Another thanks I would like to give is to The Dashing Doctor K, @TDDK_Art, I’ve never talked to him, but his work with Jojo is insane. I always tried to up my game on this animation after seeing his work with part 6. I hope to talk to you one day and learn your secrets!

The fact that DIO's silhouette at the end highlighted the Joestar birthmark hit me like a fucking steamroller. As if to say if he had to refer to himself by a surname anymore, even with his animosity towards the bloodline he showed in life, he would still rather be a Joestar than a Brando because it was still a name he respected because of Jonathan alone.

I love the implication behind the time stop: he learned from Jotaro. King Crimson could technically skip over Dio's time stop since it's technically an "instant", but he waited until the moment right after the skip the same way Jotaro waited until after Dio's stopped time ran out.

Honestly I would 100% love this as a canon ending. 1. It makes more sense for Requiem's powers; we've already see it zombify somebody, it's empowered state being LITERALLY BRINGING SOMEBODY FROM THE DEAD feels more natural a transition from "Lol you will never know" 2. They hyped up Giorno as dio's son for a while, when dio himself never actually really matters this entire story, despite the presence he put on every arc leading up to it. 3. It would've been the perfect foil to Trish and Diavolo's story, which is of family betrayal. The ending as-is is fine, but this just feels way more natural and much more badass an ending (as hilarious as watching him die 1000 deaths is)

I kind of saw the original ending and Giorno's powers as an extension of DIO's influence on him even just by being his son. He can create life from the lifeless, do weird things to people's bodies with his powers, regenerate from absurd injuries... and Requiem is the greatest expression of the one thing he inherited from DIO: His spitefulness. When granted the potential to do anything, even bring his friends back from the dead... his heart fell in the darkest pit it could land in. In the exact moment he gave himself his Requiem, he wanted Diavolo to suffer more than anything in the world.
