Best way to judge whether or not to doubt the morality of a government is to assess their press freedoms. By restricting access, or by eliminating criticism or only allowing friendly reporters and censoring their work before publication, countries lose credibility. This country loses all credibility in the Strip for precisely the reason that they restrict access for foreign journalists, who are rarely allowed in and then only kept on a tight leash, and by attempting to discredit all local journalists as biased and enemy propaganda. If they wanted people to trust their word, they would improve press freedoms in the Strip to prove how much of a good job they're doing and how any civilian casualties are unavoidable and taken very seriously. But they don't.

As an American... I am impressed you know our work. In the Civil War, the last Confederate general to surrender was a wealthy Cherokee man who led terrorist attacks on Cherokee villages. There are also the small number of paid tribes who fought against the majority of Natives who sided with the British as well in the American Revolution. Go back to the Conquistadores. The Aztecs were overthrown by Native neighbors. The US has done this in Iraq, Korea, Syria, Haiti, Cuba, Afghanistan, Iran, Viet Nam. We even armed and supported Pol Pot, the guy responsible for the genocide in the Killing Fields until North Viet Nam's war against him forced us to withdraw. Israel did this in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt. Hamas was literally an off-shoot of the Muslim Brotherhood that Israel funded in Egypt, and then Israel armed and funded them for decades while they fought Fatah. Israel got a literal apology in 2016 from ISIS leadership when their soldiers were accidentally fired on in the Golan Heights. So.... yeah... it's like that. IT'S LIKE THAT PRETTY OFTEN. 😂
