If the government is going to take our tax money from us, we demand public access to see the video. We are paying for Body Worn Cameras and the fees to maintain the video. And if the local jurisdiction does not have the funds to procure and maintain body worn cameras, then cancel and withdraw the patrolmen cell phones to pay for cameras. They have radio and managed for 100 years using radios before cell phones. Cameras and the video they capture is more important that police calling their girlfriends. We will not be satisfied until a nationwide law passed that requires all police, deputies, ATF, DHS, e-v-e-r-y body to wear Body Cams. AND all the video will be uploaded to publicly accessible sites so that citizens can review, tag and report the bad behavior immediately. Body cams will turn on when removed from the charger, and only turn off when charging. And there will not be a mute button. Recently read a report that stated less than 2% of all body cam videos are reviewed by LEO supervisors. This is why many abuses and violation of civil rights is not revealed, until citizen journalist publishes it.
