The company I work for spends millions on Women in STEM programs without a penny given to any boy or young man. It was never about let's make girls and young women feel empowered, it was let's keep boys out of programs because four generations ago society thought women didn't belong in careers based on objects instead of people. Now these young boys are old enough to vote and suddenly it's like, "vote for us, we have your best interest at heart". They actively otherized young boys and constantly kept them in the outgroup, now they want to pretend they didn't.

I have two 22 year old kids... One boy and one girl. They both turned 18 during the start of the "pandemic" and immediately got jobs after graduation and moved out. My son got a job in the trades and my daughter went to college for a few years. They were BOTH doing great and had been saving money. Now BOTH of them are barely getting by in this economy. Neither feels they will EVER be able to buy a home or start a family under Democratic leadership. Its heartbreaking to see. For the last few years, I have been listening to them and ALL of their friends. Watching what they post and paying attention to what they think... After all they are the future! Well I'm beyond confident that they're ALL voting Trump! My kids registered to vote for the first time this year...and im very proud to say they will be voting Trump too! The whole reason why Roe V Wade got overturned is because of the specific Supreme Court Justices that Trump appointed during his presidency. Who the president is can absolutely have an effect on these major sweeping policy decisions. Trump's cabinet was a mess of rotating positions because of how many people jumped ship. That caused widespread miscommunication and policy delays/rapid unproductive shifts at multiple executive branches like the EPA. I have personally been passed over for promotions and opportunities over the years because the companies I worked for had programs prioritizing the hire and promotion of women. Not because they were more experienced or had performed on the job well, but because they had a different set of chromosomes. The Me Too movement made things worse. As a man, I felt that every time I turned on the television or went on line, all I hear is how awful men are and how men are all "Misogynistic", rapists to be persecuted by our society (which is far from the truth about the vast majority of men. (In under 4 years, the inflation from the previous administration was astronomical!) The federal reserve deemed the inflation so much under control they lowered interest rates. I do know one thing that will destroy the economy: TARRIFFS, which is the only plan Trump has shared with us.

I’ll start by saying I’m not American. I’m a 20-year-old guy, British born and raised, so I can speak only from my perspective. The main demographic of young people who are moving to the political right are young, straight, white, usually working-class men without a college education. I am a straight young man, but I am not white, and I am being educated at a prestigious university. That already sets me apart. I believe my political views are centrist, from a British perspective at least. From an American perspective they will probably be viewed as a bit further to the left, given I support things like universal free healthcare that we have had here for over 75 years now. But I think straight, white, working-class young men feel disillusioned and sidelined because they believe that the elite class who have controlled the narratives have underrepresented or misrepresented them. And to an extent that has happened. We had horrible sexual violence tragedies make headlines in recent years. But when educators, many of whom are female, are encouraged to make a difference, some mistakenly point a finger at men, making a sweeping generalization and saying they’re all capable of being the next serial rapist. So then these men look for a community and a voice. And the right-wing populism - including MAGA in America, Reform in the UK, the AfD in Germany, the Rassemblement National in France - promise they will stand up for these folks, and take back control of the narratives, which they claim have been taken over by the mainstream media, which is full of the “elite” class of college-educated people who make up Democrats’ main base. The populists also promise that they will wave a magic wand and somehow make economic troubles go away. If Harris and the Democrats really want to win back this demographic they have to prove that they are willing to listen to the needs of this group. That’s a very hard thing for them to prove given some of the influencers that these folks listen to. But if these folks believe that the “elite”, college-educated class has always prevailed, who spend their time discussing the plight of women, and LGBT+ people, and people of color over theirs, and that’s why they must fight back, then it is very hard for Kamala, a woman of color, to look like someone who understands them rather than just someone who claims to understand them. I’ve seen these narratives on social media as well as people that I’ve personally spoken to. If I were an American citizen, I would vote for Harris-Walz in a heartbeat. But I’m not. And perhaps many of these young, straight, white, non-college-educated men will want me to shut my mouth too, even if only because I am not white and have the immense privilege of a university education. Just my thoughts. I’m not an expert and have zero influence on this election.

Why do you think Trump is in any way qualified. He's just saying stuff, playing on fears, making wild promises he has no actual plan to enact... No, what he is going to do, is wreck the economy again. Just like how he botched the covid response leading to the economic downturn mess we're just now coming out off. And if it wasn't for the massive package infrastructure and manufacturing stimulus Bidden pushed early on, we'd be in a full blown economic crisis right now. Instead, Trumps 20% tarrifs are going to cause a massive shock in the economy which will drive markets to push up prices to make up for the fact they have to source resources from abroad. Just like how his Tarrifs on farm products during his first tenure as POTUS made foreign countries, like China, put tarrifs on US farm products in retaliation, which meant that all that extra money they got, had to go right back to stimulus packages for farmers, because otherwise they would go bankrupt. Trump claims he'll just get car manufacturers to come to the US, as if they aren't already in the US... Car Manufacturers Biden SAVED from going under. Trump claims that we're going to drill baby drill... drill what?? We're already drilling the most right now than we've ever drilled, and how is that exactly going to push money into your pocket book ? He's just saying stuff, whatever sounds good, because he's a salesman. But all he's actually selling you are words, no substance, no truth behind them. Just pretty lies, made to make you think the sky is falling and he's the one to save us from it. No, what he is, is an arsonist, who afterwards claims he didn't set the fire, in fact, he's going to put it out himself, with his bare hands... And if you let him, he'll end up pooring more fuel on it. The fire will go out, sure... but only because he's burned the house down to the ground, and there's nothing left.

Flash backs of the Red Wave in 2022. In OHIO Black men voted more overwhelmingly to preserve womens rights to reproductive healthcare than any other demographic(for various reasons obviously). Economic issues are at the forefront, republicans aversion to the Anti-Trust regulations & tax policy more aligned to serving the interests of average Americans... policies that played a key role in the United States building and maintaining the largest middle class/comfortable working class in world history... these are absolutely issues that should play a role in young mens decisions for these elections. Republicans didn't just do away with much of the Anti-trust policies that benefitted American workers & consumers... they mostly refused to enforce what was left of Anti-Trust after their onslaught against it... and it was carried out for the benefit of the morbidly wealthy. The right-wing sold the information campaign declaring "greed is good", even for those who weren't wealthy(which basically all reliable data for decades now has proven to be either woefully misguided or just plain dishonest. Leaving everyone not rich who bought in to the bill of goods the right-wing sold, with upward mobility in a state where it is a shadow of what it was before the hard right economic turn had been enacted by Reagan, Newt Gingrich, and the right-wing activists making up some of the wealthiest 1% in America that demanded republicans institute this insanity. They proceeded to tell Americans to just wait for the magical rains of prosperity which, would just fall out of the pockets of the obscenely wealthy, eventually making the gloriously journey to trickle in to the hands of the rest of the country... some are still waiting. This sales pitch was offered even though the tax policy the same people lobbied for and instituted would lead the wealthy with far less incentive to take actions that might benefit the people that make up the rest of the country.
