G-d called me to convert so after much classes I eventually did. If you are receiving that call also in your soul, conversion is an option. It's not something to be taken lightly but attend classes with your local Chabad to start learning more about Torah. Torah learning is really beautiful.

Thats was very inspiring as ive always felt different and the more i learn about the Jews i feel they are family. My family is broken and no one knows its origins, maybe i should make an effort to find out. Jews were dispersed in many directions, often hiding their identity. I dont look like my family and i think Abba Father gave me a Jewish heart. May Abba bless Israel and bring peace to the land and our brothers and sisters there 🙏⛺🙌🤍

Many southern Italian Catholics are finding that their ancestors fled the Spanish Inquisition. The name of my father’s town is Marano Marchesato. Check out what Marano means in Spanish.. My father always loved the Jewish people and felt close to them.

​​@@66elflaco Even if there were Marranos who fled to Italy and eventually spelled the name as "Marano", the genuinely Italian surname Marano existed well before the Sephardic Jewish exodus & was not exclusively associated with Italian Jews. Similarly every Oliveira & Pereira isn't necessarily of Jewish descent, that's just obvious.

I'm from Brazil and as a child I once asked my dad the origins of our last name "Oliveira" he told me he didn't know exactly but all he knew was that it is Jewish, years later as an adult, I took a DNA test and there it was, I have Jewish Ancestry!

Fiz essa mesma pergunta ao meu pai e ele respondeu que possivelmente nossos ancestrais fossem judeus forçados a se converterem ao cristianismo na Península Ibérica. Pode ser bobagem, mas deixei minha barba crescer e vi traços de um homem judeu ortodoxo 😂. E inclusive fui perguntado espontaneamente por estranhos se eu era judeu. Para tirar essa dúvida, farei meu teste de DNA. Estou ansioso.

O que comprova mesmo a ascedência é a construção da árvore genealógica e em alguns casos testes de D.n.a.

O sobrenome “Oliveira” não tem nada de judeu. O fato de judeus ou criptojudeus terem adotado esse sobrenome não significa que seja um “sobrenome judeu”. E a porção do seu DNA que pode ser atribuída a judeus sefarditas podem não ter nenhuma relação com o ramo Oliveira da sua ascendência.

I am brazilian when built my genealogy tree i find out that i am descedent of many jews who were perseculted by catholic inquisition, there was a portuguese jew couple who came to northeast from Brazil persecuted by inquisition and i am descedent from them. Many brazilians have jew lineage and don't know.

I may be in a similar situation in that I have found my father's heritage to be Jewish. I am encouraged in that and that I know the name of our Israel tribe and where they exiled to.in Europe (formerly German territory in Poland) based on our last name. Many Jewish people died in Poland but my family apparently left in the 17th century. My mother's family, most likely, came from one of the "lost tribes" that lived in the British Isles for centuries [the tribe of Dan]. I converted in 2006-2010 and I tried converting to Catholicism too before ( and I was in "Messianic Judaism" for twenty years) most definitely I was very unsatisfied as a Christian [for a total of 40 years] seeking the truth before I started my conversion process back to Judaism. I am currently a Conservative Jew who is interested in Orthodox conversion.❤😊🎉 4:37

@@eugeniev-a4 * She was not Jewish. I believe that they were either an Irish mix or a Danish Viking. Her family were originally Methodist (which is a break off of the Episcopalian church). She taught us Bible stories and she was adamant that I be Baptisted in the church that she was attending when I was eleven years old. That was the Church of Christ. She didn't celebrate any Jewish holidays but she did light candles in December. My father's customs in December included a spinning top and making homemade [fried] donuts.

I have loved Israel since my teens but my DNA doesn't list Jewish DNA... My maternal grandmother's name was "Floren" - a Catholic born in Antwerp who fled Belgium to SW France during WW2... I went to Israel several times and upon exiting the plane on my first trip I felt instantly "at home"...

I was told my grandfather family were from majorca and they may have been Xuetas who moved to the mountains of Puerto Rico but my Jewish percentage in my DNA results were only 3% not a lot. But I know my paternal grandfather always was fond of Jewish people. But idk

Different DNA companies have different data bases that they compare their customers DNA to... also different companies use different approaches in its analysis of the customers DNA. Some use algorithms, some use forensics. Also, what does 3% mean ? Is it in relation to the data base of that particular DNA company’s total sum ?

@@66elflaco I heard like Utuado, Lares and Adjuntas is where them Xueta Jews from Majorca settled and that is what my maternal grandfather family came from Majorca from them converso Jewish homies back in the day. But it's those 3 towns that have them Xueta Jews who settled there. it is undocumented history unfortunately but interesting

A lot of people don't know of the Xuetas which is kind of interesting. But there is mention of Lajas being a town founded by a Xueta..this is not documented and it is fascinating to me that people don't know about this much...but I believe this is part of my family lore

My maternal ancestors were kicked out of Spain when Columbus sailed, went north and ended up in Ireland, and converted to Catholicism! My brothers and I have often wondered about our past, because my mother cooked certain foods in Kosher style, although she really didn't know it! When I was little she used to light candles on Friday, and said her mother used to do it, but had no idea why! She said it was an Irish custom, but when she told me her Uncle Hughy died and her mother covered the mirrors, that was pretty much it!

There are many of descendants of the conversos in Brazil. In fact, many of them have applied to get Portuguese and Spanish citizenship based on their Sephardic genealogy. Nowadays they are mostly catholic though.

I also discovered my Jewish roots through geneology. I'm from Brazil, and my ancestors also fled from Portugal back in the 1500's. In addition, I took a DNA test and it shows 12% Sephardic Jewish.

I am Mexican Jew born into a Catholic family. When I was a child I quit Catholicism. I never felt a connection to Christianity. Some years ago I discovered that I may descend from Spanish/Portuguese conversos. Many small towns in Western Mexico were founded by Spanish Jews by the end of the 16th century, when the Inquisition was implemented in New Spain. It has been a very long and difficult journey to come back to Judaism. When I converted to Judaism I was born again. I am a happy man.

600 hundred years of inquisition? False ....not even 400...please do not exagerate ...and remember thay MANY jews converted into christisnism on a voluntary bases. Inquisition arrived into Spain only at the and of the 15th century (indeed it was the last country in Europe to put it in place while other European countries already started long time ago). Kings in Spain (in particular Isabel) did the best they could to stop the entrance of the inquisition in Spain: Jews were in general well treated in her kingdoms. And if Queen isabel finally accepted inquisition in spain was only and excluively because it was an imposition BY THE POPE. For those who love the "Spanish black legend" just to let you know tbat the inquisition was a FRENCH invent and came to Spain from other countries. It was NOT a Spanish invention.. also to say that before tne (late) entry of the inquisition in Spain, thousands of jewish converted into christianism without none forcing them and became conversos due to a free election....this is to be said and sorry for spoilling the party.

I had a huge Mexican family at a chabad find out from a dying grandmother that the emtire family was Jewish and converted during the Spanish Inquisition. The entire family officially converted back and like ive countlessly have seen.. were the most amazing devout Jews. This is what is so sad about this war.. im part Arab in my geneology (sephardi) and i feel at home with Muslims I share DNA with.

Modern day Jews are not the same as those from the Bible aka Israelites. We have DNA of ancient Israelites and Palestinian Christians are the closest to those ancient Israelites. Modern day Jews are mix with all types of European heritage as well as non-Levantine. It is sad that the real Israelites are getting their land stolen by the fake Jews that God told us about. Modern day Jews reject Jesus Christ and there is no salvation without Jesus Christ, your ancestors accepted our Saviour. God's chosen people are now Christians.
