Just saw them in concert in Feb '13, I was impressed. The new vocals are impressive, and this new song falls right in line with "classic" Journey. Enjoy!!!

I really don't understand what so many people have against Arnel. He's killing it on this.

Saw this live in concert. It was good enough to get me to look it up on KZbin, but the older stuff is wayyyyy better.

I wasn't alive in the 70's either. I wasn't even alive in the 80's. I was born in 1993. You can find them here on KZbin. I think you can also find them available for streaming on their Myspace page (the old Myspace). Last time I checked they were available on iTunes. First one is self-titled, the second one is called "Look into the Future and the third one is called "Next". BTW I take back what I said about it being better because I can't really decide right now.

Folks, the "problem" with the new stuff is not the vocals, it's the song writing.
@laurajames72311 жыл бұрын
It is...and I think Arnel comes into his own as the new Journey Frontman without any comparisons to Steve Perry. He actually was one of the co-writers on this song too...

I know Ill get flamed for this but I would like to see Journey perform this with American Idol 4th placer James Durbin. It would be epic if you ask me

Why does this song remind me so strongly of Camelot in BBC's Merlin? Ah, well. Good song, Journey! As always.

@XmetalXpowerX Yeah, you're definitely right :) that's the song I'm talking about. Thanks man.

Have you listened to their first 3 albums from the 70's? That stuff is WAY better than their stuff with Steve Perry.

Great song, and it is even better live! When i saw it at Blossum, all of the sound levels were JUST RIGHT (probably because it was being recorded), and Arnel hit the notes perfectly. Still not quite as good as the Perry era, but he brings a level of energy to the band that you can feel from the front row all the way to the top of the yard (he actually had to change shirts durring the performance because of sweat).

And this song sounds "70's"ish. Definitely not todays music.

Definitely not the same Journey without Steve Perry, he's still the best, but yes, the band is doing a decent job.
@laurajames72311 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I'll take a look. I was always kind of curious to hear that the band sound like before Steve Perry.. I think it's okay to enjoy all off the band's different incarnation..well the three major ones anyway...and just see each front man has bringing his own special quality to the band. It's okay to to have a favourite but all the insistence by some people on here that Journey's nothing without Perry is stupid. Like everything else they had to evolve or die..or in this case, disband.

@newERNIEifyJourney well thats not true with Steve Perry journey had their greatest hits and their albums back then had made worldwide charts and great hits now im not one of those Steve Perry fans who say journey sucks without him no but all im saying is Journey back then had alot more huge hits yes their up for best album which is cool but if u ask most people when was their biggest moments they will say with Steve Perry.

@1987Appetite Definitely not the same Journey without Steve Perry, he's still the best, but yes, the band is doing a decent job.

Of course it's not the same without Steve Perry! But I'm glad they got a new singer and decided to keep the flame alive because I totally love this song! Arnel Pineda isn't the same but he's doing a fine job! :D

they are lost whit that singer i prefeer Steve Augeri i dont understand steve augeri still singing whit his band what the fuck happend whit neal schon
@laurajames72311 жыл бұрын
Steve Augeri was good from what I've heard in his performances, but word has that he developed throat problem and therefore couldn't carry the high notes anymore...
