It's AP's magic...!~~his beautiful dynamics- from that gorgeous masculine crisp light, bright & powerful vocals that is very filling.. like it embraces you wholly..just amazing...that kind of energy that comes out from him when he- his interpretation/delivery it just reaches you connects to you---...Neal have said it before...And then at the same time, Arnel has to keep inline..- in that Journey/SP sound --which is the legacy sound of Journey....unbelievable...And everything goes back to Journey music legacy...The only thing missing for them is recognition, like a hall of fame award for their beautiful contribution to music industry,because Journey just simply awesomely deserves it , while SP is still alive~~!..Love and faith and hope, cheers~~

Another phenomenal performance of AP-- Goosebumps !! Oh my gosh, you should see Journey LIVE Concert with AP -- I have seen him many times AP is always full of energy --and when he rocks singing, the whole crowd rocks with him--what an amazing performance each time! He has an awesome tenor pitch-perfect voice and the raspiness of his voice shows more when he sings ballads that was full of soul and emotions-- Congrats to him on his 15th year as Journey's frontman! Journey rocks !!!

SP needed hip surgery and he was reluctant to have it done, so, NS and JC waited and waited, and waited for him for 17 months. And reached out to him several times; and they finally decided to move on without him and found Augeri...It was SP's choice not to come back so he wasn't "booted out."

There are 2 things Arnel cant do that Steve Perry did. 1 is wear that leopard v-neck shirt from the 81 tour and the other is the subtle annunciation that The Voice had. Arnel is the 2nd best cover lead singer for a band behind Adam Lambert. Lambert is a literal reincarnation of Freddy, Arnel is 95% of Steve Perry and thats good enough for me. Love this song.

HUGE Arnel fan and Augeri before him...He is way off on this one. Covering the balads is the most difficult because we can hear Perry's voice and Arnel's tone is not even close here. Big shoes to fill...he should try to clone Perry's phrasing exactly on the ballads! Arnel gets away with a lot because people love him and his story so much...what's not to love and Augeri paved the way (the first replacement is the hardest by far!)
