When a band sounds better live than on a physical recording, you KNOW they have what it takes. Steve Perry, come back to Journey! xoxoxo

sitting watching old journey videos... there has not been nor will there ever be a voice like steve's. dear god why doenst he still sing?? what a gift that would be to us old timers and to the kids yet to discover his amazing voice,,,

@@Lagirlanimalsandscenery , remember them as they were and not as they are. Steve Perry put out a new album I think, about a year ago. His voice is still amazing, even though it may not be anywhere close to what it used to be. Time has worn away any facade that once hid the ugliness behind the scenes in the band. It is very clear now who the aholes are that are still left in the band from the old version. It's a shame, because I always thought Jonathan Cain was a good guy. I'm not saying that he and Neal are not talented, but they showed what kind of people they really are. I choose to remember the band that I saw back then. Great memories.

Jonathan Cain took over Journey when Steve Perry quit!!! Neal was just the owner of the name. John is a trained educated musician Neal didn’t graduate high school!!! Neal can play the guitar like a master but he isn’t a true musician

+Bill Fallon Gsus4; G in the bass, C, and D. I love using sus4 and sus2 chords in songs that I write, because they make awesome transitional chords, because it uses the root and 5th of two different chords at once (in this case, C {root} and G {5th}, and G {root} and D {5th}).

@TruthSurge6 жыл бұрын
C sus 2 Basically, the notes are C, G, D, G. middle finger placed on A string at 3rd fret, then mute the D string with that same finger then hold B string at 3rd fret with ring finger, hold E string at 3rd fret with pinky. You get a circle of fifths thing going on at first (C to G to D) then a G above that D rounds it out.

By the way Ross V. is a great rock bass player. unique total and style he had. maybe because they had the keys to help cover the lower register. He didn't really go after that tone. It's more mid-and chorus for his tone. Then again not many rock songs had much bass register to them at all back in the day. White lion and Van Halen was almost devoid of bass frequencies in the mix! wtf?
