@@ICircuit64 Don't listen to this guy. While the first season is indeed rough, the second season knocked it out of the park. It's worth a watch. it might be the best show on television right now. Is it like the books? No. Don't compare it. Just ride with it. It's taking the audience on a marvelous journey. Appreciate it for what it is. You can always go and read the books to get that version.

Isaac Asimov was SO ahead of his time. He was coming up with holographic interactive displays and bio interface machines before the world 'hologram' was even invented. He called them tri linear interfaces. His ideas were before modern processors. So freaking ahead of his time

I read a lot of scifi as a teenager and also gamed a lot, so was surprised that habie hadn't heard of Azimov, but then I'm really old and maybe the gaming-scifi correlation of interests isn't as strong as I thought. Anyway, a great smoothbrain intro to Azimov is "I, Robot", the short story collection not the dumb movie. Foundation is kinda exhausting.

It’s so frustrating when someone (not including Habie, because he cracks me up) struggles to figure out something so simple, like reloading a gun in VR. Watching them try to rack the slide on a pistol over and over when there’s already a bullet in the chamber, and then they don’t understand why they can’t do it, is downright triggering😩

I love how VR gets to translate Habie’s mannerisms into the game. It really makes me chuckle just a little bit more when the half-chimp hero, smashing his VR mega blocks together, gets interrupted by what I presume is very surface level narrative in the games. Even funnier when this is sponsored by the developers. It’s one thing to throw boxes around in half life 2 but seeing specific hand and head movements just accentuates the absurdity.

If you want a crash course on The incredible Foundation series without reading the books, there are two seasons of Foundation available to watch now. I'd still reccomend you read the books but the show does a surprisingly good job.
