Well-said! And how the girls are portrayed in "Nicholas and Alexandra" is also an abomination (Tatiana exposing herself to one of the guards, for example). Alexei in that film is also portrayed as lifeless and angry, when we know from all the memoirs and his own letters and diaries that despite all he suffered, he was a bright, sunny soul!

@@hermanessences The whole film felt very "70's" and not at all accurate to their time, even though it did have its charming moments on occasion! I just find it so sad that people take that film as the be-all-end-all about the family, when it's so off in those regards! 😟

I have not seen these films, but from what I'm reading they are horrendous, what a low, distasteful filth - I'm not sure I will be able to see them after that. I'm feeling very disappointed and hurt that those who do not know much will think these are accurate and true... Beyond words.... Sad.

@@SOLDATT I've actually made a video ranking Romanov film portrayals from "worst" to "best" (or worst to most accurate), which I need to upload to my main channel. Both the films mentioned are in there. Indeed, both are sensationalized. It's quite sad, but it seems something about this beautiful family draws that out of creators. :( There are some good productions out there, though! The ones I've seen are (perhaps unsurprisingly) Russian!

The book “Nicholas snd Alexandra” by Robert Massey was my gateway to the story of the Romanov family. The movie made based on the book was absolutely horrible. It totally twisted the book.

​@@ljmcdonald2703 you need to read this book there is so much written about Nicholas and his rule that are wrong...he had started doing a lot to help the people...the Bolsheviks, Lenin, Trotsky etc did so much harm to Russia (much worse thing's than Nicholas ever did) and it's people and it's still being felt today...

Unfortunately, the lives of the Romanoff children were cut short by barbarians. If The Russian royal family had escaped to even in Germany. They would have avoided being murdered. The narrator says that children were pure that makes them seem in human. Is it obvious at their young age? And not knowing much of the real world, there were many experiences they la Jed. I am not sure they should be regarded as martyrs But truly, are humans being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
