@@coolroy4300 I think it is great to still have an appreciation for the former singers...I sure do! I've adored Steve Perry since 1978! I enjoyed Augeri and JSS, too! However, those that are constantly bashing Journey because Steve is no longer there just slay me. I've witnessed the fandom here and on FB, Insta and other places and it just seems ridiculous. If someone is never going to like Journey w/out SP....then why listen and comment? If someone doesn't like the song then great, but people seem to have problems moving forward. I love Deeno's pounding drums and off beat percussion, Neal's ripping guitar licks, Todd's bass runs especially at the end, Jon's soft piano accents, and of course Arnel's vocals!! I think it has a fantastic combination of NEW and somehow CLASSIC Journey, at the same time!!

@@hatfield112 Just because one member of the band leaves the band, I assume you mean Steve Perry, who left the band more than a decade ago, doesn't mean that the band doesn't continue, this is the current band members we have, like them or not, groups of this longevity change members all the time. The founding members are still there, Steve Perry was not a founding member. Arnold Pineda is now the lead singer,and they are re-releasing there old music ,with him singing, since the founding members wrote most of these songs ,they can do what they like with them. It is what it is,you don't have to buy the music, or the concert tickets, or listen to it if you don't want to. Legally they own the rights to the band name Journey.

Before Pineda, Soto was the lead singer. He was let go because he's more hard rock. When they hired Pineda, they trained him to retain the legacy sound, meaning Perry. It wasn't his choice, he was told by his employers. As he established his bankability, he gradually migrating back to his original voice. You'll see this in his pre-jrny YT videos. Perry and Pineda both are strong tenors, when you play them side by side, they sing in the same key. The difference is, Pineda has a warm raspy masculine voice like Bryan Adams. To an untrained ear like the haters, they think he is struggling or losing his voice. Do you see anyone complaining about the voice of Bryan Adams, Steve Tyler, Joe Corbain, Rod Steward, or even Tina Turner? No, because most rock singers covet having a warm tone. Perry has a high tone that sounds feminish as he scales up, like Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply. For heaven's sake, tell Perry to come back, so you stop bashing Pineda. Oh, I forgot, didn't Perry launch his solo career twice right? Outside of Journey, what awards or platinum records did he get since he left 30 years ago? It's not also fair to Perry if you over-represent him now when all you can rave about are his 30 year old videos and his two records that have not reach the level of commercial success. It's time to get real and move on.

Well said mel !! Besides, i don't think steve could handle the voice required to belt out the demanding nature of journey's setlist. Look at what's happening with jon bon jovi's 2022 tour? His voice is done and it's sad to see him looking like that and sometimes resorting to lip syncing just to get through.

This is when bands retire. It's over, and has been since Perry left. Arnel, while giving it a valiant effort, has never been able to sing Journey properly...it's a shout fest of splattered flat notes and it's not even close. I've seen 5 tours with him and it's all the same ....cover band, bad karaoke....and anybody would be ....it's not Arnel's fault ....he was discovered doing covers...nobody will ever be able to cover Steve Perry. Steve Augeri tried and failed.... The drummer failed .... All these young kids wanting to Stan for Arnel...okay cool, but you're fooling yourself if you think this is Journey...it's been a cover band since Steve Perry left...Now, they're all too old. Hang it up boys, you're toast. Time to enjoy life and move on. Journey's been dead for thirty years.

This is a fantastic song and I like the video compiling scenes from the tour! I saw the concert TWICE in 2022 and it was beyond-words-amazing both times!!! As it turns out I was at their last show before they had to stop the tour. I’m grateful for Journey then, now and forever!❤️🤟🏼🤘🏼
