In a remote village nestled in Syria s picturesque Oalamoun mountains, resides a small Aramaic community. It is one of the last and it is devoted to preserving Aramaic: the language that Jesus spoke.
Protecting this 3000-year-old language has united Malula s residents: Christians and Muslims are like brothers in this town, says local resident Ibrahim Kamar. Whilst Mel Gibson s The Passion of Christ has revived interest in the language, fears that Aramaic is dying out continue. Malula, where the orphans must recite in Aramaic, is one of the last bastions for a language Mother Superior Savaf describes as a gift from God.

@@alisheikh4698 I don't give free lessons. But I find it somehow crazy to believe a man on a donkey flying at night to a place that became holy after their arrival. It was night and dark no soul witnessed the flying donkey with the man. People was trying to get some information from the donkey if it was true that it was able to fly with this man on its back. Guess what. Donkeys can not speak. So they just believed the man. No more options here lol. Anyway. Jesus died on the cross. This man died because he got old. Jesus died to give salvation to every single piece of shit of us. The man on the donkey, as I already mentioned, died because he got old. Now. Forget the false prophets on the donkey and let's get to the point. Holy spirit, Jesus and God are one. Open a Bible or if you have the capability look around you and one day you will understand :)

Ryan Derek This brought a lot of comfort to my friends and family because these scriptures remind us God promises a better future that will becoming very soon!2 Timothy 3:1-5,13 explain why things are getting worse. Revelation 12:9,12 further explain why things are getting worse. Satan knows “he has a short period of time” so since he knows that Gods is about to come back to destroy him, Satan is trying harder and harder to mislead as many humans as possible to go down with him. Look at the top ten movies, rope ten video games, music and tell me they aren’t FILLED with violence , sex, promotion of drug use, and cussing. I cut hair and meet lots of high school and middle school students and most have a lack of manners. Sadly most have multiple sex partners. A big percent love to vape weed. I’m talking about 12-16 year olds! They cuss, they can’t put their phones down. I’ve seem this a few times where Some “jokingly” show porn Pictures to each other. I thank Jehovah’s Witness for showing me those scriptures. They also showed me hope for the future at Psalms 37:9-11,29,35 9 For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth. 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11 But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. Psalms 37:29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it. Psalms 37:34 Hope in Jehovah and follow his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked are done away with, you will see it. Even Jesus agreed with these scriptures And that’s why he himself said at Matthew 5:5 Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth. What will this earth look like without all the wicked? Easy read Revelation 21:4,5 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” 5 And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” The Bible mentions some go to Heaven because they have a heavenly hope like Jesus’ Disciples and will help him rule as Kings and Priests Which help them rule over the humans that get to inherit the earth and live here forever. And some will be resurrected to live on earth to live forever without anymore shootings and violence because remember psalms 37:9-11 says they will be no more wicked people. Why? Because Satan will be no more, Amen!

Yes. This great attitude needs apply, especially now, for the Israeli Palestinian conflict needs to ultimately find Grace & resolve with Peace, Humanity, stopping the decades of cruelty afflicted daily against the oppressed population. An occupied people, generations of them, need equal rights, hope, love and inclusion too. This constant degrees of war is about Nationalism, not religio,n but it is the power & money mask used to excuse bad behavior. May this language & village people too survive the unjustified wars of the region.

Jesus said in Revelations that the synagogue of satan is those who say they are Jews but they do lie meaning there are people like the rothchilds and zionists PRETENDING to be Jews. It is very strange. All the Christian literature including NT is written in Greek. The OT is in Hebrew. Jesus obviously knew Hebrew since the Torah is in Hebrew.
@SaintCharbelMiracleworker
@SaintCharbelMiracleworker 5 жыл бұрын
@@rawman909 By the time Christ arrived on the scene, the Jewish people had been through a series of calamities that fundamentally altered their society. The Jewish state, Judah, was a shadow of Israel’s former glory under King David, having been invaded and imprisoned a number of times by the Persians, the Greeks, the Assyrians, and the Romans. During the Babylonian Exile and the subsequent occupation by the Assyrians (700-330 BC), the Imperial Language of Aramaic became the common language of the Jews. In fact, the books of Ezra and Daniel were written in Aramaic. Similar to the way that the Catholic Church’s official language is Latin even today, the Rabbis and Temple officials maintained the Hebrew language of worship and the Scriptures, but the people spoke Aramaic in their daily lives.
@rawman909
@rawman909 5 жыл бұрын
@@SaintCharbelMiracleworker Once again it is speculation. You need to understand that Hebrew and Aramaic is sister languages and very similar. Jews talked Galilean Aramaic very close to Hebrew. Another point to consider, since Jesus according to NT used to study Torah in the Temple it is not possible NOT to know Hebrew since Torah is written in Hebrew. There is no rabbi in the world who doesn't know Hebrew today. Nada. It is impossible to imagine. It is not like a priest in Christianity who doesn't read NT in Greek and OT in Hebrew. So it is highly unlikely he didn't speak Hebrew. Languages never disappear within couple of hundred years, especially Hebrew the holy language.

Factually incorrect. Stop spreading lies just because you saw the picture of 1 person who lives there today. Or. Maybe you should do your research as the predominant color of region can change over a few decades let alone 2000 years. Search for pictures of Palestine before 1948, they were much whiter before being ethnically cleansed and before Arab influence. Muslims tend to be browner than the Christians because Muslims came from further east and settled. During the time of Jesus, there were no Muslim influence, not for 600 years. Native Palestinian Christians, even just 80 years ago could easily be mistaken for Southern (White) Europeans (Greeks for example). In fact there was a lot of Greek influence in that region 2000 years ago. Even some native Palestinians could be mistaken for southern Europeans today, sadly most have since been displaced due to ethnic cleansing. Lesson for you. Do your research on the history of region before making a wild claim like that. Especially when it's directly related to the skin color of someone 2k years ago.

Dima MB are you stupid it’s written in the Quran. That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- - Qur'an, surah 4 (An-Nisa) ayat 157-158[3]

yeah we can generally understand like 50% even if we're not used to it, but to Hebrew (Neo-Aramaic) is almost fully understandable. Unfortunately, nobody lives in Maloula nowadays, as the civil war got into there. I always love to visit it though, as it is a beautiful place. Greetings from Damascus

Aramaic isn't the mother of Arabic but rather a sister of Arabic since both languages emerged from Proto-Semitic which is the ancestor of today's Semitic languages (e.g. Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic). That's why these three languages share so many similarities and similar words etc.

By the way, you know that modern hebrew prononciation is so corruptit feels unMiddle eastern (due to the influence of European migrants on this language). @@Hebrew-Spirit
