In Dresden, the birthplace of PEGIDA, protesters convene at a square once named after Adolf Hitler to rally against the open-door policy of Angela Merkel. "She has no right to mix the German people, to create a new people, influenced by Islam", explains Tatjana Festerling, the party's second in command. "Merkel is the most dangerous woman in Europe."
Around 40,000 refugees came to Germany in just 6 weeks, but now German society appears to be increasingly polarised. Extensive support has been provided to refugees in Germany by the army, the Red Cross and volunteers. "It's just humanity. It has nothing to do with being a German", explains one volunteer. Yet even volunteers are becoming wary of the mass influx: "We do not know who is coming, that's frightening". Mikko Stübner-Lankuttis, who grew up in West Berlin, describes the collective German guilt that has been passed down to his generation: "For this reason alone we cannot refuse these refugees with a clear conscience."
As German TV presenter Anke Plättner describes, "It is engrained in us Germans: the cry of 'never again'". As past and present collide, Germany's multicultural future hangs in the balance.

I support PEGIDA and any group that seeks to fight for the survival of their culture and land. Globalism is far more dangerous to unique cultures than nationalism, which protects those cultures. White europeans are actually a global minority, the numbers do not lie...yet their cultures are deemed ok to be put on the chopping block. I also recommend some of you research r/K selection theory and how it applies to this very subject. There is no gain, only loss, through giving up your land to other cultures. If I still lived in Germany I'd definitely be a part of Pegida. They're the only people that make any sense and seem to have a grasp on reality. The other side are naive if not downright stupid. It seems ironical that Hitler talked about 'lebensraum' for Germany and went to war because of it and here is Merkel inviting every other middle eastern country in till the German people are swallowed up. This war guilt is just stupid. I'm a 2nd generation expatriate German, my parents lived in Berlin during the war and I was born at the end. This law is such crap that even Merkel made a statement, in which she called for "german flexebility". But if Germany (and europe) can pull through this, I will garentee you there will be an econmic boom in Europe and everyone will be like "where is this economic boom coming from?!?!?!??!?!?!??!"

From someone who lives on the border of Mexico and the USA, let me just say--I too was ardently pro-illegal immigration. And as the years went on, and I was assaulted, and thousands of dollars were stolen from me as I tried to help immigrants, I realized that it is not good for people when they are given too much. Some cultures--most--can because quite aggressive. It's great to give on a personal level. It is not good on a political level. Neither group ends of benefiting.

Next time you feel like taking people who need refuge, please consider the white South Africans. We are hardworking, non-violent, and not at conflict with your own values. We would be happy to assimilate and integrate. Indeed, my own grandfather was from Germany. I have great Uncles and Aunts and cousins all over Germany. I wish Germany would consider 'a right to return' for those of us with German roots.
