Hi Ash, you decided that the skulls were not generic enough and filled in the pit with green slime. The terrain looks nice and great to see two nicely painted warbands on the table.

Not Bad ash a few mistakes. if your models card lists you have +1 damage that isnt added to the combat roll its added to the wound chart. so your samurai rolls 6 and a 2 equaling 7 opponent rolls a 4 and a 1 dice equalling in 4 your samurai succeseds by 3 you roll on the wound chart a 6 plus 1 cause of your sword equals a 7 on the damage chart

Oh thank god! I have been dying to see more Bushido on the channel. This is by far my favorite miniature game. It is a shame I live so far from the studio or i would be up there at least once a month trying to get games in myself. And way to support women in gaming, More of that.

And just FYI Ash, your Akimoto should never have charged his Taliriktug at 6:56. All charges must be in a straight line with the line passing through the center of the opponents base. No side charges. This means you would have run into the idol and your turn would end immediately since you couldn't get into base to base. For next time.

Armor doesn't reduce wounds. Toughness does. i know this has been mentioned before

Does anyone know where I can find more information on this game? I want to get into it but I have no clue where to start to figure out which factions I would like to start collecting and what type of army list to build and so on so forth.

Go to GCT Studios on the net. Not only are the rules and the model cards all free to download, but the forums each have a section devoted to the various factions with plenty of hints and tips on how to get started.

Cool some more Bushido :) How do you feel the mechanics play out and help differentiate the factions in play?

I've only played a couple of them so far but they can definitely feel different. The Ito have ways of poisoning and dealing damage without having to actually do it through combat like Taliriktug was poisoned there but also other models can poison from a distance using Opposed Ki Tests. It didn't really get shown here because I didn't need to do it, but my Tengu can Fly, ignoring some terrain elements and Zones of Control which can be a big deal in some games to get where I need to go. Zone of Control is a big deal in this game and it allows you to protect your weaker models from becoming punching bags.

First and foremost - great battle rep, love Japanese miniature warfare! 1) Not knowing anything about the game (downloaded, skimmed the rules) is it pronounced "jah-war"? This is a little retentive I know, but that doesn't quite fit in Japanese language pronunciation. I wonder if it's not "jay-war" ... like there's "jay"-league baseball and "jay"-league soccer. No worries if I'm wrong (or even if I'm right) just a thought. 2) Have you seen Test of Honour from Warlord Games? Similar vibe with a more historical bent (no ki, no magic - though, amusingly enough, you can act dishonorably for combat bonuses in exchange for future morale disadvantages) Sorry for the long post

"Jwar" definitely isn't Japanese or even faux-Japanese. I can't find any reference to the word in relation to Japan, although the background for Magic the Gathering apparently also has a "Jwar Isle" with several cards named after it. Since it's not Japanese, it shouldn't have to obey Japanese pronunciation rules, so the way Ash says it is as good as anybody else's guess.
