Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Instincts that can still betray us
A journey that leads to the sun
Soulless and bent on destruction
A struggle between right and wrong
You take my place in the showdown
I'll observe with a pitiful eye
I'll humbly ask for forgiveness
A request well beyond you and I
[Chorus]
Heart and soul, one will burn
Heart and soul, one will burn
[Verse 2]
An abyss that laughs at creation
A circus complete with all fools
Foundations that lasted the ages
Then ripped apart at their roots
Beyond all this good is the terror
The grip of a mercenary hand
When savagery turns all good reason
There's no turning back, no last stand
[Chorus]
Heart and soul, one will burn
Heart and soul, one will burn
[Verse 3]
Existence, well, what does it matter?
I exist on the best terms I can
The past is now part of my future
The present is well out of hand
The present is well out of hand
[Chorus]
Heart and soul, one will burn
Heart and soul, one will burn
One will burn, one will burn
Heart and soul, one will burn

You're never the same person after you've heard "Heart and Soul". Challenges listeners with its existential truth, while at the same time provides a cathartic listening experience. "Closer" is a cornerstone album in post-punk, truly pioneering.

Nietzsche thought the music of Wagner the one great thing in life, but once the composer made his anti-Semitism clear the two never spoke again. The philosopher saw his own work in the grip of the same hand: the savagery which 'turns all good reason' [2:00], mounting to some showdown at his death (in 1900).

*The Secret Key to Bullying* Bullying is an easy definition that gets blown out of proportion in the media. This has a certain ironic outcome because that is the very thing that will often make it worse. Often people who bully have become obsessed with a slight flaw of some nature. This has made them insecure so they must put up a front. When someone bullies you often you have touched whatever that obsessed flaw was in some way. This makes it hard to pin down because the insecurity may be hidden or different in different people or even unknown to the bully themselves.

Sometimes socialites and rich people don't understand they are unequal to scholars. Sometimes, people have delusions that they are scholars and intellectuals without hard times with the books. Art, music, mathematics, fiction, and poetry are often ways people attempt expressing this. Kudos if you can survive their onslaught with an attached clarity. Hint* One of the best ways people have found to express this inequality is through the atomic explosion that ended World War 2.

*Music Formulas* Most successful lyricists use strategy to make their songs more enduring. The bigger the concept and more permanent the subject, the more enduring the song. Subjects like religion, engineering, nature, and politics are pretty permanent in the world as are many of the vaster educational arguments or relationships. Many use a muse which is a person used for inspiration.

*The ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) on Shop Culture* 1902 "Education in the Machine Shops" "Give me a place to stand, and I will move the Earth." -Archimedes "If the alchemical poeticism be allowed, even matter, if properly tortured, slain, and resurrected, contains the innate potentiality of revealing the Hermetic mercury of eternal being. With the atomic accelerator at their disposal, modern physicists, indeed, have the capability to change lead into gold." -The Pythagorean Sourcebook and Library "Great party, isn't it?" -Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" -Oberlin Smith

*They Came for Your Toolkits* I think I learned somewhere that conflict and violence is inextricably linked to mankind’s harnessing of fire and tool production. Therefore, violence may be an inborn reaction to civil society itself. Contrary to popular belief, the wheel was invented well after civil society was born or even written languages which developed after mathematics not before.

*On Thee, Great Battles of Thine Resource* "Do the waker nimbly upon him, turn the point to his face. Whoever does the waker well with striding, he greatly extends many cuts" -Leckuchner, The Art of Swordsmanship "There was such a din of blows, such as weapons landing on armour, such a great breaking of spears, such pressure and such pushing, such snarling and groaning, so much noise as they struck the others, and shouted rallying cries on both sides, giving and receiving great wounds, that it was horrible to bear." -Barbour, 'The Bruce" -LFZ, (Jeremy Francis Nienow)

*The Third Eye* "A New Divide" It is becoming increasingly apparent that there are two distinct emerging tribes in humanity. There are those bound to their sensory input who see with only two eyes and those with a functional mind's eye that acts as a third eye and increases one's awareness into thought perceptions and spiritual manifestations. Each tribe is largely unaware of the other and has their own way of rationalizing the difference. This could be as big a new theoretical Neanderthal/Homosapien intermixing whereby they live beside each other for hundreds of years before one takes over. One is the screyer and the witch and one is the plain earth. It's basically a witch evolution whereby the Muggles cannot perceive except as a joke or really think much in a breakthrough way.

*The Love Meter* "Why do I stick to Aces?" Sadly, the gods only want the formula for love. That way they can hang it on a shelf and use it for power, money, and exploitation. Love /Gain Value = Desire(Conflict) + Loss Value. Scale 1-10. Give your lover 1-10 point each for desire, conflict and passion, previous life losses, and what their potential gain is from you. Example: If a potential lover has a desire value of 8 times a conflict value of 4 plus has previously experienced a loss value of 5, find the table for the potential love if the gain value becomes 9 after realization. Love =37/9 = 4 R 1. Note* By this standard the high score goes to the most desireable and experienced person who brings the most possibility of conflict and passion and gains nothing from the relationship other than you. One can tweak the equation for personal preference, sure.
