This is a really great lesson! My brother-in-law played the song for me over Christmas and said he wanted to learn to play it for my sister. He’s been really sick and I guess we won’t have him for much longer so I really wanted to learn it so I can show him how to play it. Just haven’t had a lot of time to spend on it this last month to learn it by ear, so you’ve really helped me out here, Shaheen. Many thanks and bless you for putting this together. ❤

Shaheen, great job on this video! The only challenge I’m having is the strum pattern which I know is not too complex. Could you offer any further explanation or definition of the strum pattern?
@R.L.Humpert Жыл бұрын
Hey this is great. Are you still making videos? I also was wondering. On guitar tabs this song is written using different chords? Just curious. I can’t solo at all yet. I’ve been playing 3 years and I’m not sure I can ever do solo stuff like riffs and all. I just am so uncoordinated picking strings. It’s really frustrating. Thanks! -Ryan

what is the bpm on this, i looked it up and found 149 ish, when I play it though my foot taps at about 67 bpm. So I think I am tapping half as fast and playing 1 bar instead of two. Does that sound right?

Don't try to sing like Chris Stapleton sings! He oversings EVERY song and therefore needs to play too high for his natural voice. It's great on some songs but after awhile it irritates. For most singers, it just irritates all the time. Even John Fogerty tames his singing for "Joy of My Life". And that is why Fogerty's performance is superior to Stapleton's. Fogerty's guitar playing is more interesting, too.
@79tazman2 жыл бұрын
No way was it made way better John Fogerty's version rocks Stapltons is alright but Fogrety's is so much more.
