I found the Joyo had a bit less top end sparkle; but over all both are a great sounding chorus. Lately due to budget constraints I've been looking into the Chinese pedal market. Joyo and Mooer seem to be the major players and their prices have gone up, even for their original lines of pedals; but there are several cheaper brands that have very similar effects (some may even be clones of or rebranded Joyo/Mooer products). While I feel the clones don't ever seem to exactly capture the sound of the originals; they are a great alternative that at least get you close to those sounds for a lot less money. I think you should always consider the originals of you can afford them; but if you actually prefer the clone there is nothing wrong with that.

I just received my AC Tone and my analog delay. Excellent quality/price. I am just starting a pedal board for some effects. I prefer to just plug my R8 into my Kustom 5H and 1x12" or my 36` coupe 1x12". Time to try some effects. Rock`On! From Sioux City,Iowa.

It's really really bright and crispy, but not bad. If i had the money, i think i'd get a boss ce 2 instead, but i'll probably end up getting this or the ibanez mini chorus

It's a good budget way to get that nice 70's analog chorus sound (Rush/The Police, etc.).

Joyo is warmer, and the transition of the warble is smoother. The HB is more on/off -- closer to the BOSS/Roland plug-in. I like the smoother sound of the Joyo actually. I have the Joyo and will keep it! Anyone know if it's true bypass? The HB has that on its labelling.

it needs a level/mix control...other than that it really sounds good...too much of a boost when you cut it on...when you cut it off, the opposite problem...this will be fine for some people, but i like being able to blend it in where i want...

Analog chorus sounds alot warmer to me. Classic chorus sounds thinner and more digital to me. I like the analog chorus better.

I got mine recently and it creates a very audible hiss when activated. Have i received a faulty pedal or could there be something wrong with my setup? I'm not using very high end cables and my analog chorus is plugged straight into the amp (my amp doesn't have an fx loop).

The original is the Boss CE-2.... The harley benton pedal is the same circuit as the other Joyo.

Great video and thank you.. What's the best Chorus under 100.00 that's rich sounding. I got the Donner one and it's ok - built good and sounds good. So far I'm thinking a lot of these chorus pedals around this price range all sound the same is there one that actually stands out. Maybe something more ambient?

If they are the same sound then does the analog chorus has battery port? Usually small pedals does'nt have 9v battery compartment.

Bought a classic chorus pedal (Joyo JF-05, not Harley Benton) a few days ago. Sadly, the pedal only works half. As soon as the output from the guitar drops a bit (due to either playing softly, turning down the volume knob or just letting it ring), the effect just plainly cuts out, abruptly. Already sent an email to Joyo when I first got it, with audio recordings, but of course they don't respond at all. So when you're thinking of buying a Joyo pedal, keep in mind you can get a stinker and the pedal doesn't work (properly).

EytschPi42 Got it from amazon.de. I'm dutch so it won't be the easiest thing, but I can (and will) return it of course. I would have bought it from a dutch webshop if they didn't charge twice the normal price, or I'd have gotten the Harley Benton version from thomann if I knew about them selling the pedals rebranded before I ordered it. (although the shipping costs are a bit high for non germans).

Ich besitze ebenfalls beide Chorus hier und muss sagen, ich höre einen Unterschied (und ich halt von Mojo nix ;) ) Der Classic Chorus ist wesentlich leiser im "Mix" bei gleichen Potieinstellungen (was nichts heißen muss aufgrund der 20-30% Toleranzen von Potis) und klingt irgendwie... weicher? Naja, beides hervorragende Geräte, die zweifellos ihren Dienst verrichten. Aber auch die Platine ist eine andere. Werde mal bei Gelegenheit alles näher betrachten. ;) Nichtsdestotrotz klasse Video.

Hi Pauly! Yesterday bought the analog chorus, and the signal boost was way more than slightly and very annoying... I opened the box and I found two trimpots hidden below the main pots... They are hard to tweak, but I moved just one of them, the one below the depth knob, aaaand I think I reduced the intensity of the effect... I didn't touch the other... I can't find info of what are those trimpots... Do you know anything about them? Thank you!

Es ist nur eine Nuance an Klangunterschied, aber der Analog C. gefällt mir besser, wirkt etwas intensiver, dichter und scheint mehr Mitten zu haben. Jedenfalls hab ich beide bestellt ... kost ja nix :D

Ah, okay! Dann hab ich da wohl das Gras wachsen hören, der Analog gefällt mir optisch auch wegen seiner Kompaktheit besser, was ein Grund für diese subjektive Einschätzung sein könnte :D .... Dazu kommt, das kennst du sicher auch, sind auch gleiche Pedale klanglich nie absolut identisch. Habe mehrere Pedale doppelt als Backup und bei einigen sind da wirklich Unterschiede zu hören. Jedenfalls danke für die Info!

I have to ask, rather stupidly.... what is a shimmer pedal? Do you mean a reverb that creates extra harmonics? Mooer and Strymon have such a pedal... is that what you mean?

That's exactly it :) Strymon has one out too your right, but finding it a tad pricey. I have the Mooer but the Shimmer on it I think is horrible, it's really hard to work with. I think it's playing in 5th notes.

Not for guitar players.... very few of us have a stereo rig...that is a huge setup... also... for the price of this, just get two... loads of sonic possibilities... I know, for keyboard players stereo would be great... but hey.... it is DIRT CHEAP and sounds really great... better than some other choruses I have sitting here...
