I play mostly metal and the zombie really has a more than decent tone, even if compared with some higher price range competition. To me, the unfortunate thing is that whenever you have to switch channels with your hands it becomes a single channel amp in a live contest... since I need both channels It doesn't meet my needs. Still, great line of products, especially for the price range!

But, with 100dB speakers in a 4x12 you would have a 106dB cab at 1W, so you would be around 121dB at full volume. You would only gain 6-9 or so dB with a 100W head. 121dB should definitely be enough for most applications.

20watts into 2 x ( 15watt, parallel 15ohm), Celestion Blue @ 100db 1w/1m each = 100 + 3 (2x12) + 13 ( 20 watts ) = 116db 1w/1m = just fine for PA-less rehearsal, *if your cabinet is hot enough*
@JimijaymesProductions
@JimijaymesProductions 7 жыл бұрын
Henning I definately agree with the pinky thing, with people who say it isnt strong enough....play enough and it gets stronger. Using your pinky allows you to bend with the strength of you hand and still have that pinky there to stretch higher. That said learning to strenthen all your fingers and then play how you like. I use my thumb for barre chords most of the times which is 'incorrect' but allows me to do things on the higher strings I can with a traditional barre.

if you want speaker cone modes, go amp wattage x 1.5 for your cabinet wattage total. get your impedance wiring right, and do the math, and you can get by on 15 to 20 watts with the right cabinet.

schabbnur these are basically built to sound like certain amps. The capital letters in the name give some hints. Like JaCkMan = JCM 800 or the AtomiC = AC 30. But basically, yeah,since the are voiced differently they are meant for specific genres. With all amps, the should almost all be versatile enough to cover multiple genres of music.

Tbh the original of SCOM is without le pinkey. and for me it really is smoother if I don't use it. It really becomes a "walking the hand" kind of riff then because your left hand flows with it. Otherwise I do try to actively use the pinky everywhere tho. just cause it's better on a lot of levels.

I really don’t know if I want the BlueJay, JaCkMan II, or the ZoMBie II. I pretty much only play clean so that BlueJay is calling my name, the JaCkMan sounds fantastic, and the zoMBie is calling to me to add a high gain tone to my tone arsenal. I own a Egnater Tweaker 40 Combo which has a switch to toggle between Fender, Vox, and Marshall inspired tones in its tone stack, and I have a Roland JC40 for those super clean solid state tones. The zoMBie would add more tonal possibilities and it also has a decent clean channel to suit my normal playing style. Maybe I will just buy them all. Lol. I hope Thomman still ships to USA for cabs so I can buy a Harley Benton cab for one of these bad boys.

Is it possible, to go from the fx send of the zombie to the fx return of another (tube) amp? To use the power section of the tube amp? Thanks for a short reply, Henning!!
