Good timing! I just got my Kickstarter copy recently and have been waiting for another solo play through other than the designer (no offense Dan 😀).

For the solo game, is base game + Wessex needed. Can we play without Wessex.

Actually I don’t think that you need any expansions to play this one solo. The description for Wessex states that „additional“ solo opponents are added.

Ouch, not using the new rules for seeding the building tiles to start the game? The new rules guarantee that lower level and usable buildings will hit the table earlier.

Actually I thought I did! I sorted those using the Tile Sorting Number - at least I think?! Haven't I?

jPlay Sorry, you are correct. I had it in my head that only tiles with prestige rating one qualified for the initial population.
