I work in a charity shop and a lady, today, bought a load of clothes and stuffed them into her man friend's back pack. He stood very patiently with his back to her while she loaded the clothes in the pack. I said, You've trained him well - congratulations. She said, Yes, he's very obedient. @@neuralwarp Except it isn't. *Greater London* aka *London* is a *county and region* which is split into boroughs, and contains *2 cities,* which millions or billions of idiots around the world and the UK itself, incorrectly believe is a *city.* *London boroughs* don't have demonyms, therefore all the people are simply known as *Londoners,* with only a few recognised accents in *Estuary, Cockney* and *RP,* along with the relatively new *MLE.* However *Newcastle* is one of many *cities* which people incorrectly believe is bigger than it is, and has nothing to do with *South Shields* which is a completely separate *town.* People from *Newcastle* are *Geordies.* People from *South Shields* are *Sandancers.*

Love her she is from south shields which is only a few miles away from me in the north east of England. So its nice to hear her accent with it sounding so familiar. One thing a like about her is she doesn’t just tell jokes to make people laugh she tells funny stories and works with the audience to have a laugh and what makes it better is even she laughs at some of the things the audience says but then makes it better with her comebacks

Can I ask a question? Sarah Millican is from South Shields in the North East and she has a very strong accent, even to me and I was born and bred in the UK. Do you hear that accent, can you hear the difference between say, a Welsh, Cockney or Liverpool accent (or any other accent from the British Isles) or does she just sound 'British' to you. I'm genuinely interested whether our friends across the pond can hear and recognise UK regional accents, because for such a small island (comparative to the USA) we have an awful lot of them. I've just Googled it and I wasn't surprised. I've never heard of and don't recognise *30 of the 51 people,* which even after clicking on a few of them to find out who they were, weren't that surprising. And of the *21 people I have heard of or recognised,* I knew practically all of them were from the North East. Now *Famous people from Yorkshire* is a different story, as *Yorkshire* has big names everywhere, in practically everything, which most people don't realise are from *Yorkshire.* My city *Bradford* the *6th biggest city in the UK* alone, has big names in practically every field, yet seems to be ignored more than any other big UK city. We have countless *film directors, producers, actors, TV presenters, screenwriters, authors, artists, singers, rappers, musicians, bands, politicians, inventors, scientists, sportsmen* etc. There's *11 Famous People from Bradford* in the list of *51 Famous People from Yorkshire,* and quite a lot of the others were either educated in *Bradford,* raised in *Bradford* and/or lived in *Bradford.* There might even be a few more, as *Leeds* tries to claim *Bradford born* people a lot of the time. *Bradford* has people who have won practically *every music award* you can think of, in *every music genre* you can think of. I have a decent sized list of the *singers, deejays, musicians, composers, bands* etc but I've only added a few *rappers* as there's too many to mention. Plus as I'm not a *Rock/Metal/Punk* guy, there's no doubt many *Bradford Bands* I don't know about, but will likely find in the *Bradford's Noise of the Valleys* series of books, or websites like Leeds' *Music Leeds* or *Leeds Music Scene* (which I've noticed over the years contains countless Bradford born acts). *Bradford* has *English champions, British champions, European champions* and *World champions* in practically *every sport you can think of.* I remember looking through countless *Motor Racing Sports* around 5 years ago, and finding *Bradford born World champions* in practically every single one, but I don't think I wrote them down anywhere, so I'm going to look through them all again one day and make a list. *Bradford* has people involved in practically *every big British film and TV show* in the last 5 years especially, whether as part of the *cast* or the *crew,* and we also have a lot involved in *big American, Canadian, Australian* and Bollwood productions too.* Some notable ones include *Vikings* created by *Michael Hirst,* *Knightfall* created by *Richard Rayner,* and *Informer* created by *Rory Haines.*
