Are you required to submit affidavit of support I-864 and Immigrant Visa IV at the same time or can it be separate? For example, can I submit I-864 first with all of the required evidence followed by the Immigrant Visa (IV) and civil documents a few weeks later?

Hello. Thank you for the video. Can you clarify the Ink signature, please? When you said " it will delay your case for at least 3-4 months" , how did you know that delay was due to this particular error and not something else? Did NVC send the form back with the request for an INK signature? I am having a hard time because my Legal Rep told me to e-sign with Adobe, and when I cited the USCIS website, she said "I base my judgement on years of experience and legal manuals that go way beyond the instructions"...I am so hesitant and don't know what to do.:(

The I-864 you download from CEAC doesn't update the number of dependents, it stays at 1 all the time. If you find this error, edit it with a PDF editor or find a PDF that works. I don't know who else is having this problem but because I thought not to edit the pdf I got screwed at the consular interview and was asked to upload a corrected copy, but I believe this hasn't fix the problem as I'm still waiting.

@@lindaenow7584 I was able to but it added 2 months to the approval. So I highly advice people to make sure you add the correct number with a pdf editor.

You have to download the PDF to your computer and not the browser, all the calculations and fields will calculate/update correctly once you do.

Hi, what happened if I sponsored my mom on another i864 like a joint sponsor for her adjustment status i485 and she is not Lawful permanent resident yet. But I have to submit another i864 as a principal sponsor for my spouse. Do I have to include my mom in my household size?

In case sponsor's income doesn't meet, does the beneficiary need to live in the same household to show he can support both him/herself and the sponsor?

The Beneficiary does not have to live the same household, but they are more stranger requirements to be able to use the beneficiary's income. Please consult an attorney in private.

What does joint sponsor put for Part 6, Number 20 (Current annual HOUSEHOLD income) if they’ve filed taxes jointly with their spouse but only are using their own income, not their spouse’s?

The income reported as stated on form 1-864, 1-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds, i got this message from nvc, so i already add a joint aponsor, can i add a second joint sponsor or i have to delete that joint sponsor and add a new one , because the case now is documentialy qualified.

Good day Mr John Please I really need your help. We submitted our NVC document. And everything we approved except the FORM I-864 AFFIDAVIT Of SUPPORT. And the error was that it was suppose to be 12pages to be submitted but we only found 10pages. Please what do we have to do, do we have to go obtain the remaining documents and how do we get it?

Hi John, thanks you for your informative videos, I wonder for my joint sponsor, who has a foster child but didn't list him as a dependent on her tax return, she listed his name on the "qualifying person is a child but not your dependent" box at the top of Form 1040. Does that mean her foster child shouldn't be included her household size? I'm so confused I would be appreciated for any help. Thank you

One question, please: I filed the I-30 petition last August for my wife, and for the last 3 years, I have made more than enough to be eligible to sponsor my wife. considering that in a couple of months, I have to file the affidavit of support, is it possible for me to leave my current job since I have made enough on my tax return in prior years, or at least leave my job and get a similar paying job somewhere else or I need to stay at my current job to show income stability? Will current employment be checked or they only look at the prior year's tax returns? Thank you!

Domicile requirement applies to all I-864 filers unless exception (like active duty military etc.)

Hello, I live with my wife and 2 kids in the same house. I am a US citizen and I am applying for both mom and dad's Green Card. I have already paid for Affidavit of support fee and currently filling out I-864 ( affidavit of support documents and financial evidence). I primarily take care of my 2 kids, hence I only make around 3k per year. However my wife makes enough to sponsor both my parents. So, my questions are: I am the main sponsor/petitioner so I have to file I-864 FORM for both mom and dad even though I don't make enough money right ? I have to add my wife as Household Member and fill out I-864A form for both my mom and dad right ? Do I need to fill out any other forms or provide other documents? PLEASE LMK If someone else have gone through similar situation in the past or present, I currently am, please provide some info. Thanks a bunch.

Those agencies are part of the department of State. They don't handle form i-485.

hi john our visa interview didn’t get well we got refused and asked for a Ds-5355 and a joint sponsor so i get those and sent them to the us embassy by email 3 months and a half ago. So do you have any idea of how much we’re gonna wait more? Cuz i sent an email and asked the embassy they replied that my case is still undergoing internal processing. Thanks in advance

سلام عليكم اخي عندما قدمت اوراقي في nvc بعد انتظار ٦٠يوم انا قمت ارسال استمارة i-864 معها بنفس الخانة الضرائب بعدها وافقو ع جميع الاوراق ثم قالو لي نريد ورقة i-864 منفصلة عن الضرائب هل هذا يعني الكفالة قليلة ارجو الفهم ثاني سوال انا زوجتي لا تعمل وقد ارسلت اهم في المرحلة الاولى في nvc انها لا تعمل ثم ارسلو لي نريد الضرائب الزوجة ولماذا لا تعمل اسباب هل هذا يواثر علية ارجو الرد مع العلم مقدم ضامن مساعد شخصين من غير زوجتي وشكراً لك

Hello i hope you noticed my question, we recieved and rfe about form-i864 we have only 2 household size me and my husband ,my question is in the question what is my husband(sponcor) currently annual income ,and the total income. Our tax total i come last year is 47,900 so this is what we put in our total income but we only put 42,000 in currently annual income just because my husband is currently working in only 1job now, that compare last year he's working 2jobs, i am right? And my question is why we still recieve an rfe about this? We didn't calculated the overtime in currently annual income becase overtime in hes work is not like everytime please i hope you noticed my question
