I’m confused on counting my household since I have to fill form I-864 for each of them resulting in a total of six. My question here is, does it mean on each form the total household number should be six (6) or the number should descend to 5,4,3,2 or 6, 2, 2, 2, 2, as I fill each form I-864? Thank you

Hello Mike,for my understanding you need to file I864 form for your spouse.The children you have to file I864W form because they are minors and they will automatically become US citizens when they gets here.

I got married in 2020. My spouse is in abroad. I did my tax return file as a married jointly. I submitted i864 EZ to NVC. My own earnings is enough. I have provided my w2 as well. Question is - since i did my tax file married and jointly, will that be a problem?

Good day Abhisha. I'm tying to file the I-864 form as the sponsor due to the fact that my wife who is a US citizen with no income. We have received the Welcome letter from NVC for her son who is not my step-son. So my questions are as follows. On Part1: I use my name correct? I select 1d. and chose second of two joint sponsors. Correct? Part 3: I select (Yes) Correct? I don't need to add my wife on the below Family Member Information since she is living in the US. Correct? Part 4: 1a.-c: Do I put my wife's information in this area? And our mailing info? And under Other Information: 5 Her information. Correct? Part 6 would be my income information. Correct? Part 23a. You use form I864w when petitioning yourself or a minor child who will automatically become a Us citizen when he/she gets here.However since you are petitioning for your spouse you have to file form I864.

Please I have some questions about the Form I-864 about Part 6, Question 24a My most recent total income is less than the 125% of the poverty guideline but on Part 6, Question 7 "My current Annual Household Income" individual would be enough to sponsor the incoming immigrant for which I am sponsoring, does that mean I'm still required to involve a joint sponsor or am I ok to depend on my own annual income?
