look Wikipedia page on "Treaty of San Francisco"and read the chapter on "Ceylon's Defence of Japan." New York Times -"The voice of free Asia eloquent, melancholy and strong with the tilt of an Oxford accent dominated the Conference. The ablest Asian spokesman at the Conference was Ceylon's Finance Minister J. R. Jayewardene". This monuments are tribute to that wonderful speech.One of the best made by a Srilankan in recent on International arena.Thanks for uploading!

With his extraordinary skill and ability JR revived the stagnant economy after coming to power in 1977. On a scale of 1 to 10, if I give 10 marks to JR I will give just 1 mark to Mrs. Bandaranaike who ruined the Country for seven years from 1970 to 1977. There are hundreds of thousands of people who lead successful lives today due to JR's open economy.
