Everyday M.M.A. That is why I say “the most anticipated unanticipated podcast of all time....” because 5 years ago joe did one with Eddie and Jean that to me felt in some way half full and half empty at the same time. But it held no space in my mind of “needing” another podcast with Machado until I saw that there was another sit down between just them after joe has continuously talked so often and highly of his teacher. Sorry if I crashed your “lol” moment at my comment but to me and I feel a large amount of others, this podcast means a lot.....

Wrong wrong wrong! Brazilians don't say Rio like he's explaining at 0:49. At the beginning of a word, the portuguese "r" pronunciation is the same for places, things and names. It sounds like the english "h". Porra!!

Sorry, but that's not very smart and is actually disrespectful towards the sport. BJJ is not fighting. You can compete in BJJ without hurting anyone. It's closer to tennis than to MMA. BTW I can understand that being his mindset in the more primitive era of the sport. Today as BJJ has evolved as a real sport, that would be very strange. You're in the finals and you don't want to fight the finalist? Really?

Isn't it also known as "the death stare"? I agree by the way. As a baseball player, pitchers with this "death stare" always can be distracting, because you're wondering if they're planning on beaning ya. And if a Randy Johnson-caliber "death starer" decides to pitch up and in with a ~102 mph Four-Seam Fastball, it makes the hair on the back of the neck stand up.

I would love to see Jean Jacques on JRE again. I would also like to see his brother Rigan on. I'm a brown belt under Rigan, and he is the top BJJ instructor among celebrities. I bet he has some fun stories. I would also love to see him get Chuck Norris, Jeff Cavalier, Rickson Gracie, the Rock, and Colby Covington on here.

Jean Jacques is a beautiful human. I remember helping him move mats for a tournament at the LA Police Academy in 1996. I was a 2 stripe blue belt and he was so accommodating and patient with my questions while we were carrying mats from his school. I've always been a fan of him since my first encounter with him. Side note: We were carrying Swain 1x2 meter mats. If you've ever carried those or Zebra mats, you know they can get heavy. I was using two hands and then eventually partnered up with someone else. He was carrying them with one hand... his left. His thumb was stronger than both of my arms.
