Cave spider in a suit HD \ Togekiss has a cream color that's almost unnoticeable unless you look closely.The red and blue aren't the only difference and they still kept the cream for Gen 6 Togekiss albeit less noticeable.

Before gen 6, shiny Pokemon were created by shifting a Pokemon's pallet over by one in the game's data. Using the word lazy doesn't do gamefreak justice, as it's not like they stood in a room and picked the colors they liked. Flabebe, however, is unforgivable, because that was when they started picking colors

Early shinnies were determined by a coloring algorithm, that's why most of them look weird or barely any different; they didn't start manually choosing the alternate color palette until X & Y I believe.

I got all ten right, which I consider sad By the way, the words you're looking for are "concentrated" and "diluted." A concentrated color has more of that color added to it, whereas a diluted color has more of that color taken away, making it appear slightly whitish. You can probably look on the Internet for a better explanation, but hopefully I at least helped a little.

Well, rather than concentrated, the more correct term is actually saturated. Higher saturation means a more bold-looking colour; less saturation tends to be more faded and lighter.

I'm one of "those" shiny hunters, so I aced all of these but I still see the point, they suck. The only thing I can say is that in generations 2-5 all of the shinies were randomized and from gen 6 onward all the new Pokémon were hand-made, so take that as you will.

While I may not have known which was shiny, because I haven't really used all of these that much, I did notice the slight variants in color. Still, on a smaller screen, like all the devices these games are made for (even the 'XL' versions are much smaller than the screen I watched this video on), it would be very difficult to determine unless you're specifically shiny hunting (which I've never done).

I got Leafeon and Elekid wrong because I forgot that Gen 6 had some sort of vendetta against actual color and forced every Pokemon to have ugly, muted colors, so the shinies for those Pokemon just ended up looking normal since they're simply harsher colorations of the muted color palettes.

I personally love Shiny Glaceon, it's one of my favourites and proud to own it, sure it isn't much different, but I love the more intense colors and contrast it gains. I don't really dislike Shiny Leafeon as well - got it, too, both her and Glaceon were ones of my first Shinies I ever caught back in Diamond, and both were females, too - although I'd prefer if it's leaves were a different color, for example a nice cyan color.

Believe it or not, I got all of these right! The main reasons we're that I have a shiny igglybuff, and togekiss is one of my favorite Pokemon. I also had a league on card as a kid that I used a lot, which gave me the slight upper hand on the eeveelutions one. Great video, as always!

The flebebe one is very easy for me to see. One has black and green and the other has blue, it's very different and noticeable.

Got all 10, noticing even the slightest color differences when i have something to compare to is really easy for me, you could have a shade of red then an ever so slightly lighter red right next to eachother and i would notice

I can see the differences pretty easily, but knowing which was which was the hard part and you’re right. It would definitely be difficult if you don’t have a side by side comparison or the audio cue.

Glad to see you back with a top ten! I wa starting to miss ya! And as I said to a pal of mine a few days ago: not all shinies are created equal. And I couldn't help but cringe a bit when you called Floette Flotelle. Or when you called Charizard orange and red when it's just...well, orange. And with Togekiss its shiny is actually SLIGHTLY yellow-ish...but it's difficult to notice unless you're paying close attention. It's sad since some of my favorite Pokémon, Gengar and Garchomp, have pretty indistinguishable shinies. Even if their mega shinies at least make up for it.
