If you put on just enough paint with an appropriate size foam roller, you can tip with that roller, going slowly and lightly.

The laminate will bleed through and you'll have ghosting as best. Worst case you will have adhesion issues.

Why thin the primer? I’ve been using smooth to semi smooth rollers from home depot and a foam brush with hard angles to tip. Never thined the bright side either.

Can you put a second coat on within a certain time frame without having to sand again?

Not with the brightside paint... you can do it with their Perfection line, as well as most other 2 part polyurethane paints

Hey looking for some advice. I noticed that you wore a respirator for the primer, but not the paint. Did you find it was not necessary to wear one? I am painting an open wooden boat with Interlux Brightside outside (not in a garage)? Do you think I need to wear one? Thoughts? Thanks! I enjoyed the video.

Yes! You always need a respirator when painting indoors. Not something you really want to do with the doors open either unless you want a bunch of dust in your paint. So many people overlook the importance of protecting their lungs. Not just any respirator either, whatever you get will need chemical (organic compound) cartridges. Dust cartridges or dust mask wont do anything for you regarding odor.

What color is this? I'm looking to tackle this job in the spring and love the not-bright shade of white this is, but Interlux has so many whites

It is their "off white" color... I like it a lot... it matches the gelcoat of my boat really well too so it looks a bit more factory finished
