Just finished Blue Reflection. Was expecting a twist, but not the one that happened. Only got 54% of the trophies. Never could get a win in Dark Cave. Might go back in a few months and see if I can platinum it... any word on a sequel?

Nothing I've officially heard yet (although Gust has said they've considered it but don't know if they'll do it in some interviews), I would be so so happy if they announced one though. Crossing my fingers for it someday! I think a lot of people would support it :3

I've honestly just come to find all of these to be the new-age developing tropes in jrpgs. Trails of Cold steel uses a lot of the same concepts. Unfortunately blue reflection does it all with too little depth.

I think they are, they’re enjoyable concepts but I think Blue Reflection used a fair few. I need to try Trails of Cold Steel still :3

i believe blue reflection suffered being rushed. they released it just before the fiscal year ended. they could have improved many elements. something tells me the battle system was planned to be more robust because of the terminology used in some move descriptions. (surrounding nearby small, all) but somehow all those terms ended up meaning the same thing aka target everything.

I really like your video, you revive my interest in Blue Reflection (The french review was not exceptional so I was scared that the game was bad) personaly I'm waiting for a switch version because I took the PS4 with the lowest price (500go I think) so my priority are games that have very poor chance to coming to the nintendo switch (but if it never happen I will take the PS4 version). I have one question, are you going to make videos about your olds post of your blog ? (I'm french so I'm sorry for my bad english if wrote not correctly)

Oh I would love a Switch version of Blue Reflection! I don't know if they'll do one, but that would be cool :) And what an awesome question! Do you know that Gust a maybe going to do a Blue Reflection sequel ? They just ask if the fan really want it or not (and if the main artist want to work again about this franchise or not) And the possiblity of a switch version are around 70% I think because Koei Tecmo really support the switch, the Atelier series + Night of Azure 2 (Two gust game ) already have a switch portage, I don't know if NOA sells well and if it don't have any problem but Atelier Lydie will release soon a brand new game so we have to see the sales. I will love to see all your review that or not in the video format and the How playing in japanese help you like the english dub. (I'm sorry if I use french words i'm not sure if portage can be use in English x)

I would love a sequel to Blue Reflection so much, I really hope they do it. It ended well, but I think there's definite room for a sequel the way it ended and I'd love to see them so it even better the second time around. And love that Koei Tecmo is supporting the Switch, I want to play all the game you mentioned! Hehehe, and to think that both games (Blue Reflection and Persona 5) usually have the same age rating in the world, America (the continent) is one of the few exceptions, but in Japan both games are rated CERO C (15 years and up) and in Europe they are rated PEGI 16 and USK 16...it's only in America where Blue Reflection has a lower age rating than Persona 5, Blue Reflection has a T rating and persona 5 got an M rating respectively, and as we know, a T rating means 13 years and up, and an M rating 17 years and up, so...yeah, Blue Reflection is a strong T rated game we could say, it's a game that almost deserves an M rating (at least) and its content is at the limit of what can be shown in a T rated game more or less...I pay close attention to age ratings in video games...

I would recommend it! It has its flaws, but I really liked the story and mechanics in it :) And I'm from Australia, but my accent has always been a weird mix for some reason lol

It never occurred to me that there are the seven deadly sin a theme in persona. But now that you mention it I see the point. But one question I have still to blue reflection. Is there any others characters then this Moe type? From what i saw of this game it seems like. There are no adult boys in it an some echi in it. Both are points which I don't like too much. Well some ecchi might be ok but in so many clips are seen where the protagonist has a wet shirt which shows her bra. That's at some point annoying and downgrades my opinion of this game a little.

I’ve been really wanting to mention the seven deadly sins thing for awhile, I freaked out when I realised, I think it’s cool :3 Depends on your definition of moe, but there is a lot in Blue Reflection. I do think the characters go beyond just being moe once you get to know them in the social mechanics and in the story for sure. There are surprising amount of moments where the fan-service kicks in (the amount of wet school uniform shots in my video is entirely unintentional, it’s just the weather mechanic >< lol). It can ignored but it’s definitely there. I’d buy it with or without, and I understand it’ll either cheapen or make it better for others :3

Just my impression I got aside from your video. It's just that I feel the urge to play it but would be sad if it's just comes down to some dumb cliche. So are there also interesting characters which are adult and/or male?

Oh, didn't think you were saying it was my intention, I was just saying, all good :) There are no males in the game (unless I missed something drastic lol) and it is all high school girls :3 their personalities do differ quite a bit and their stories are well-developed enough. I haven't maxed out many of the social relationships though, so this is only from my experience in the main story, but every character I thought broke whatever their cliche was by having depth. It is up to you though, it's not a perfect game by any stretch but the emotional stuff really appealed to me along with the mechanics :3 there are others who found it cliche so I understand if it feels risky to buy right away (I hope it goes on sale soon so more people can check it out!)

JRPG Jungle that's to bad a world without males makes it hard for me to get into the game. But it's the same thing for anime. I just feel like, it is less believable without males. But my girlfriend sure wants to play it so maybe I will buy it for her and just have look into it then.

Blue reflection is just a watered down low budget persona. Don't get me wrong, I'm liking it, but it's no where near the level of what persona was. Which is a shame, cuz the characters are really cute
