Just for kicks I will answer the question - it is so hard to pick a favorite but I think it would be a toss up between Pokemon (Red/Blue/Yellow), FF7 or Super Mario RPG (with honorable mention to the Dark Cloud Series and Legend of Dragoon), just due to the memories with them. When it comes to worst I can't really answer it as I have loved all the games I have played. I knew there was a Metal Slime 2DS (Japanese Exclusive) but never knew about the Vita, it looks sooooooooooo nice. I have never been to an Expo, so thank you (as well as other KZbinrs) for doing videos like this and allowing people like me to experience it through you. Congrats on the finds and pickups, and getting one of your grails off your list Dan. Having the knowledge of JRPGs and RPGs in general, I think it would be cool to see a video talking about your Top 10 (or 5 each) of RPGS on the cheap, since as cool as the heavy hitters are, the cheaper options I find are just as (if not sometimes more) fun. Thank you for all the wonderful content guys. #Roadto3k

Great to see a channel about retro games that isn’t a sneaky reselling channel. Respect.
@JRPGLife2 жыл бұрын
To be perfectly honest, a lot of our content consists of us filling our video game collection for free through game hunting, trading, and reselling. This trip was entirely funded through reselling (but we both have non-reselling full-time jobs). Check out some of our previous videos for details 😀
@leeartlee9152 жыл бұрын
@@JRPGLife Oh I see. I guess I just assumed incorrectly. Sorry about that. *sigh*
@JRPGLife2 жыл бұрын
The good news is that, if resellers didn't exist, none of us would be able to find and buy video games used anymore. Even local game stores are technically resellers. Don't hate, appreciate! 😀
@leeartlee9152 жыл бұрын
@@JRPGLife Incorrect. Used videos existed before eBay. The games were cheaper with the trade off you only could buy what was in your area.
@JRPGLife2 жыл бұрын
So based on your reasoning, we have to either buy video games new, or choose to buy used video games from a local reseller like a local video game shop or gamestop. But if we want used games that are not available locally, we should not buy them because it would require us to buy them from different resellers online that are somehow "sneaky" even though they are reselling just like GameStop is...?

Woah, I've seen several V-Jump Chrono Triggers, but never that pre-release one! Silhouette Mirage is amazing. Forget Working Designs, it's made by Treasure.

It's a shop in LA that we visited a few months ago in a previous video. Really nice people there, but they had unreasonably high prices and wouldn't negotiate enough for what we were looking for. I'm sure it's good for some, just not for us.
@jcchaconjr Жыл бұрын
Silhouette Mirage is a Treasure game - pretty divisive as far as opinions go. It works on a binary mechanic that Treasure later iterated on more famously with Ikaruga, but hey - it's Treasure, it's Working Designs... so yeah, it deserves a spot in any serious collector's library, regardless of whether you end up liking the game or not. Also available on Saturn as a JP only release I think?
@tylerk29132 жыл бұрын
I wish more people at game expos would be willing to negotiate on price, especially when they are already overpriced. I feel like some vendors use the experience of FOMO on some people who don’t know the current market prices and that feels a little like taking advantage of people. I love to haggle and I understand that it’s a business so trying to make a profit is needed for shops, but come on, 150% over price and not budging even a little bit? It would have been a hard pass for me too. Keep up the great videos and content, your home collection is awesome!!
@JRPGLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for saying so 😀 Yeah some of the vendors were very good about negotiating, some had fair prices already listed, it's been a mix for sure
