Mister Dillinger, Janet is here to see you.
@FamilatheG4 ай бұрын
Yes! Of course, show her in.
@ThomasCorfield-r4nАй бұрын
"Who?" "Janet." A vacant stare. "I don't know a Janet." "Well, she seems to know you, sir." "In what way?" "These." Explicit photographs were offered. "She insists the negatives are somewhere safe." "Christ." They were perused, with one rotated several times, such was its explicitness. "You'd think I 'd remember, wouldn't you?" "Not necessarily, considering the overall surface area you're clearly paying attention to, her face would be low on the agenda." One was pointed at. "And what the hell is that?" This was peered at. "A blender?" A nervous swallow. "I've gone too far this time, haven't I?" "Arguably where no man has gone before, sir." "Can we pay her off, perhaps?" "I can certainly try, sir. She does look like a strumpet - and I'm not just referring to her posture in the photographs." Another was reexamined closely. "And Jesus, I mean, what the hell is that?" Another peer. "It looks like the handbrake from a 1976 Mark 2 Ford Escort." Dillinger looked up in withered horror. "I need help." A concrete smile. "It would take lifetime to know where to begin, sir." Photos were dropped like used bandaids. "My mother said this would happen. She insisted that if I keep acting like a complete wanker then it will come back and bite me on the proverbial." "Well, sir, according to these photographs, it appears that's what Janet was doing." Head was held in hands. "How do I get out of this if she won't accept being paid off?" A nonchelant shrug. "Well, I suppose I could always kill her, sir." He looked up. "Kill her?" Another shrug. "Yes, sir." A direction was indicated. "She's waiting out there, sir." "What, NOW?" "It would save a telephone call, certainly." "Would it be messy?" "Not nearly as messy as what's going on in these photographs." He looked around worriedly. But wouldn't it, you know, ruin the carpet?" "It depends how it's done, sir." "And how would it be done?" A smile. "Leave that to me, sir." "You're quite sure?" "Indubitively, sir." A retreat began that would be followed by something surgical without consent.

I remember traveling across the country as a kid and I ALWAYS wanted to stay at the Holiday Inn. Those signs were so eye catching how they lit up and blinked. We never stayed at one, we always stayed at small mom and pop places.

When I was a little kid back in the early seventies and looking through travel brochures, TV ads and magazines I couldn't wait to become an adult and enjoy being cool and wealthy doing all the fun things that men could do back then. Traveling to beautiful exotic locals, staying at beautiful resorts, eating gourmet food and drinks and flirting with beautiful exotic women with sexy foreign accents. Even though I was too young to know what to do with those beautiful women. Still That was the life to cool living for me. Now that I'm an adult it's not like the fantasy lot of work, worries and bills to deal with. So much easier being a kid and enjoying the simplicity of it all back then, don't rush to get older.
@VictorianMaid994 ай бұрын
I did all the same things. National Geographic had these advertising in the front of the magazine of these cool guys opening the door to their glamorous wives getting out of black Lincoln Continentals. They looked so successful! I was a kid and thought I could get there. I missed the mark.
