One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written :) Composed by ‪@jeremyzuckermanmusic‬, Avatar's Love prominently features the kalimba, so of course I went ahead and bought a kalimba and learned how to play it. Just finished the last airbender. This sums up what is some of the most wonderful character development and story telling ive ever had the great pleasure of watching. Characters of all walks of life, with all sorts of stuggles; learning to overcome their all-too-human burdens and--through the pain, the strife and the hopelessness--making peace with those burdens. A story of learning restraint; knowing righteous anger when it is needed. A story about the danger of allowing yourself to be blinded by your struggle; even your percieved privilege. A story about the true value of introspection in times of trouble. A story of overcoming the toxic and burdensome expectaions of presuppositions learned from childhood. A story, ultimately, about the power of companionship and of unconditional love; love not in a naive and foolhardy sense, but the innocence of a love that has not the slightest interest in repayment; A love not busied with the dailly improprieties all too common of its imperfect target; an upflifting, selfless love that recognizes the flurry potentenial that exists in the other; a love tamed by wisdom, molded by nuance and given in an edifying humility. The Last Airbender has deeply affected the way that I see myself in the world. It has helped me to recognize the damage that my pride has on my soul. Amazing arrangement; words cant describe what im feeling.
