Steve Dawson and Brian Johnson must be long lost brothers. I have the Vintage Modern and Class 5, both are great amps! I was getting some killer doom sounds from the Class 5 with an SD-1 in front of it the other day. Always super cool to see videos with Steve. There's a great presence and knowledge about him.

What a marvellous sounding and looking amp. Marshall is the best! And now I need a JTM45! Thank you very much for this rare opportunity of listening to this amplifier in action.

I’m a big fan of Steve’s designs and own and use the Vintage Modern and Astoria amps myself. It would be great to see more of his designs in the future from Marshall. 👍👍

Beautiful sounds, guys. Hats off to Mr. Dawson for recreating these classics and for his appreciation that the guitar's controls are an essential part of the circuit.

Cheers guys!! Nice demo of a Great amp! I have one exactly like that that I built in 2006 with the original type speakers, T652 w/ Marshall labels and the great EC Collins grill cloth!

I recently purchased an early’80’s JTM45 30watt jumper. It’s the perfect platform for a few pedals in front. A good compressor, and a Tube Screamer type in front as well. Amazing tone…

Unfortunately that's going to be impossible, if you want a great amp going to have to pay for one!

Watch the Johan Segeborn videos on it. He does a great job making the DSL20 sound just about the same as the SV20.

In that time. from 1930 up to 1970 it was a choice what kind of speaker you wanted in the amplifier.

Wow. I have a Marshall JTM 45 I bought back in 1984. I play it out once in a while but prefer my Roland JC twin 15 because of the high end. It's nice to find out that the old shit you have been hanging on to is worth something 😂.

Can we get a video on the entire JCM 900 series (MkIII, SL-X, DR)? Would love to hear an engineer's words on the thought process behind the designs.
