Speaking of “being that guy”. One of my responsibilities at a former employer was to maintain a fleet of 8 trucks for a distributor ship. One day one of our drivers was making a delivery at a large factory. He was parked next to a long hauler that caught fire due to the exact reason that JT is tryna prevent. An oil covered engine caught fire and our driver put it out with his cab mounted fire extinguisher. Once fuel lines burn through it’s game on. You definitely don’t want to be “that guy”. Make sure your fire extinguishers are fully charged and up to date too.

In the UK, we have a government agency that tests all vehicles that use the highways, agri machines exempt, lorrys/trucks have to go through an extensive test before allowed to go on the highway, am not too sure if they laughed so much at your truck or just fainted in its condition. Ever part weather a moving part or not comes under their eyes for a pass, just a quick look at your truck would need 10 new tyres (tires) correct fuel tank holder straps, new windscreen and blades........
