Farmall 130 Fast Hitch Install Part 1

Getting Roger’s 130 fixed up for all his work. He’s a keeper as a friend! Looked at what I though was a super AV. Turned out to be a 140 high cropper. He had two other 140’s for sale. Going to buy one of them as soon as he get an electrical issue fixed.

You can weld or braze the nut to the bolt. Make sure the weld is only on the nut and broken bolt, not the housing. The heat will help loosen the threads, in addition to adhering the nut to the bolt. It works good on manifold bolts also.

Roger did that and was able to get the broken stud out. Praise The Lord no drilling.

Hey Joey, the studs go in the front to allow for the standard drawbar and use the tapered nuts. Bolts go in the back the way you put it back on. I bought my 100 from the man that bought it new and that's the way they came out for fast hitch. The fast hitch was offered first on the Super C's ( 2 pt.) and then on the 100's ( 1 pt.) Take care! Btw, Michael Nardo in Jackson Springs has all that stuff! I think Burch buys from him sometimes. 🤔😃

I have about 30 detailed pictures I took off a believe or not a New Old Stock 1979 140. I would love to have that tractor. I refer to them a lot on bushings and clips.

We switched over to 15/40 in the engine and hydraulic system. The new Hytran is different than the Hytran those tractors came with. If you run the new Hytran and you have a gasket fail on the pump you'll lose the bearings in the bottom end. That's what was wrong with my Cub and Super A when I got them.

I switched to Rotella 15/40 Diesel oil in my Cub, holds a solid 35 pounds of pressure no problem. High zinc content doesn’t hurt either.

I took my cotter pins out of the rear cultivator bars and use hitch pins. Makes it easy to get the rear cultivator off quickly.

Roger's 130 came with the slow hitch. Seems to me Joey the first time I remember seeing you, you were cultivating with that 130 and it had Cub wheel weights on it.

It did and Pat from West Va swapped us some 100 wheel weights.

That’s the kind of arms my 140 has on it wanting to do the same to it with a fast hitch on the oil I have heard that 15w-40 in cold weather can be hard on the older pumps but not sure

I didn’t realize that rotella had a low ash straight grade 40 weight. Im going to try that.

Also wish you to would replace all the wiring on a 140 and or 130 . Both mine needs to be redone bad . Not even sure wire to get a full jet from

Just something to think about.., I put a fast hitch under my super A and the bell has a flat bar that the front lift arm hooks to.. why is that bar not centered on the bell that has the holes in it ..
