Juan has always been my favorite dude on the channel. He gets a lot of shit from the homies but takes it like a champ and is still humble and cool. Big “ups” to you man, stay safe !!!

Like reckless_203 said, practice on something smaller like grom or quad to get feel for rear brake and balance point, then transfer to dyna.Good job.👍

A grom is not as easy as a quad. The quad is the best learning tool besides a machine you hook a bike to and it prevents you from looping until you get the brake down.

Juan, start with a Grom. Do it in the dirt so it won't hurt. Any disposable cheapo ride is better than a Harley, the crappier the better. Shorter bikes are easier to get up and harder to balance, but balance is the part that you need to master. Think of it this way, it's mostly mental and it's a lot less scary if you are only a foot off the ground. You will crash so you might as crash going slow in a grass field on a junker that you can replace it for less than the cost of one Dyna crash.

Broooo. You’re there man. I’ll throw out a tip that could help you get over the 10 o’clock jitters and up to 12, everyone has their own tricks and here’s mine. As soon as you’re about to release the clutch go ahead and get your left foot under the left peg and pull your weight forward as you pull the throttle back and bypass that 10 o’clock point of lift. For me, the weight shift made me feel more in the bike and got me over the fear of the backwards lean. Once you’re there, you’re gold bro. At that point, as long as you have a good seat with a lot of cradle on the back, you’re gonna settle into the wheelie. Just keep your left foot under the peg for comfort for a while and make sure you’re just applying toe to the rear brake. You’ll know the balance point and how to maintain it once you hit it. Good job bro!

I've had newer Dyna's with 49mm but once I switched and started buying 39mm FXDX's and DXT(T-Sports) wheelies were way easier. The early model twin cam Dyna's 99-05 are shorter, lighter and DX's with cartridge shocks are really narrow.
